Essential and Inspiring guide to Florence!
Wonderful book with so much info! I read both the kindle and hard copy version. The kindle version is handy to save highlighted sections but also enjoyed flipping through the hard copy. Planning a 2-week trip to Tuscany and so looking forward to visiting many of the sites listed. Love the in-depth descriptions. I only wish the book had tons more maps (and in color) as I’m having to mark up several of my own maps with the author’s suggestions. It would be really helpful to have detailed maps of all sites mentioned (beyond the b/w versions of a few throughout the book). I have the time to see Florence beyond the 24-48 hour dash of many visitors so a bit overwhelmed with all the options (in a good way)! Would like to see specific suggested itineraries (beyond the walking tours as those don’t appeal to me). Highly recommend! The enthusiasm and love of Italy of the author is inspiring!

Great resource for exploring Florence!
What a fantastic Florence travel guide! Not only are there dozens of suggestions for places to go (sights, shops, restaurants, etc.), the author includes background and great descriptions to help you decide what to prioritize on your trip. The book includes great tips about how to see the popular places without so many crowds. The included walking tours sound really interesting, too.

Corrina Cooke: Love her books
I read Corrina’s book on Florence and Rome and visited many of her suggestions. So far she has been spot on as far as my interests are concerned. I made some great purchases based on her recommendations. I’ve always made my own travel arrangements and tours but if I ever were to go on a tour, she’d be the one I would go with. I like her style.

Incredibly grateful for this book!
I’ve read and reread this book, before and even after our amazing time in Florence. Corinna introduces you to the city and gives you a feel for its history and major characters so you can appreciate so much more that i would have noticed without her guidance. Then she walks you through all the must-see places in her unique entertaining style. Plus her restaurant and shopping recommendations are spot-on. We’re definitely planning a return trip to Florence, and this book will be coming with me again!

Super Informative Book about Florence
This was combination history/art book, travel guide and shopping guide. There were so many things in the book that really made our trip to Florence. I read the book and kept quoting it to my husband the whole trip..."the book said ...." Top two recommendations - The "Secret Passages Tour" given by Palazzo Vecchio was indispensable and Jimmys Leather. So happy I didnt waste my time with the other travel guides - this was such an informative and great book!

Invaluable
What a great book - 100 times more useful than the 2 others I purchased. There are no pretty photos and few maps but you can easily find them on line. This book is packed with useful tips on how to tackle the main attractions and advice on what you might prefer to do instead. There are hidden gems and useful location tips for finding that one restaurant you fancy visiting. There’s even a list of recommended tours. All in all a well written book by an author who is clearly experienced and knowledgeable. I’ve made notes and I’m sure it will be a great help.

Packed with interesting info!
Thanks Corinna. I read the book once and am now re-reading it and taking notes. For me, food and art/architecture are my interests and they are covered wonderfully. I contacted one of the recommended guides to organise a food tour for when we arrive. The brief story of The Medici was so good. I am excited about getting there in a few months time. Thank you for writing book.
