Impressive Strength and Roominess: Ultimate Solution for Keeping Your Keys Safe While Driving!
I am extremely pleased with this Master Lock magnetic key holder! The strength of the magnet is impressive and gives me complete confidence that it will hold securely while I’m driving. It’s surprisingly roomy, accommodating not just my keys but also my key fob and another small essential without feeling cramped.Opening and closing the holder is a breeze, yet it requires just the right amount of force to ensure that it stays shut—this reassures me that my keys won’t accidentally fall out while I’m on the road. I love the peace of mind it provides, especially when I’m in a hurry.I was so impressed that I’ve already added another one to my cart for added convenience! If you’re looking for a reliable and spacious solution for keeping your keys safe while driving, I highly recommend this product. It’s been a game changer for me! Worth every penny spent! Used water bottle for reference of size.

Works great!
Definitely does the job of hiding a spare key or two and has terrific magnet for using with metal. Definitely as advertised for us. Would purchase again.

good buy
Very good for the money, I've actually bought two of them. Holds in place, and it is larger than you would expect. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is that it's very hard to open. I have a small nail that I stick in the side of it that I have to use to pry it open to get to the key when needed. But for the price, I'm still happy

Great for hiding a car key
I purchased this key holder to hide a spare key for my car in case I lock myself out or need someone to access my car in case of an emergency. The magnets hold strong to a good piece of metal like the frame. Mine is hidden on the frame within the rear bumper so there's no chance of it coming off randomly. I put a small piece of foam inside with the key so the key didn't rattle around. The door mechanism on this box clicks shut tight, and the box feels sturdier than the cheap ones you see at hardware stores, etc. It's definitely the best option out there for the price.Extra tip: If your Car key has a chip in the ignition, and you're worried that someone could drive off with your car if they find the key box try this solution: Get a key cut that only opens the doors. Don't program the key to work with the ignition. Then, you can find somewhere secure inside your vehicle to hide the ignition key. That way if a thief finds the key box, they can't drive away with your car.

5 years later....
I bought this five years ago and stuck at underneath of my jeep. I was just out mountain biking and came back and realized I lost my key. I knew five years ago I stuck it under the jeep somewheres and wondered if it could still possibly be under there after all of this time. It definitely took a lot of hunting around.Because I didn't remember where on the frame, I stuck it. I finally found it after about twenty minutes of searching. It was pretty dirty, but I opened it up and I found the key inside that I wrapped in a small ziploc bag. The magnet is held one through five years of snow, bad weather, and everything else, so top notch recommendation! I'm so glad I did this years ago. It saved me so much grief.

High Quality Product that works - best on the market
For what's on the market today, this is the best. I wish I could give it 4.5 stars, just because I always think there's room for improvement. Others have outlined the pros and cons quite well, but I'll do a quick summary.- No outside print or labels, making it less obvious when on a car- Solid construction - still plastic though- Good open/close sliding mechanism with a "click" to snap it shut- Bigger size - all of our car and SUV keys fit no problem (individually of course, not the whole key ring)- Good magnet - nice size and strength, but could be more. Size is roughly 1 inch by 2 inches. The magnet is much much better than past ones I've had. But I think they could make it even stronger. Why not? They make amazing magnets these days in very small sizes. There's certainly more powerful and smaller magnets out there, so why don't they use them in their design? That said, even with the strength of this magnet, which is quite good, I wouldn't leave it on the car long term. I don't think it would fall off, but why risk it. If I'm leaving a hide-a-key on my car for long periods of time while driving I put a piece of black duck tape over it. Just a little added insurance. Ironically I've found hide-a-key boxes sitting in the road with a key in it before. So they do fall off if you hit the right bump. Plus the tape helps to ensure water doesn't get into it. I had a hide-a-key taped in a box on my frame for two years and the day I needed it I was really really glad it was still there.Plus...the last time I had to replace a key to my Pathfinder, I learned the keys have a microchip in there that is unique to the car. So you can't go have one made from a blank at the hardware store. It was expensive to get an extra key ($75), so now I don't take the chance of losing it.

Hard to open
I've had 3 of these since Aug 2024 and I will agree with most other reviews that the magnets are extremely strong, and there is a lot of space inside the hideaway. However, if you are in a hurry to get one of these open to get in, you will be sorely disappointed. I have these for my house and there have been several times I've tried to open a door to let a child use the restroom, and we had to scrap that idea and run upstairs to get inside. They were much easier to open when they were new. I haven't tried any tricks I've recently read in the comments, but it's not worth it to me to have a spare key that I can't use. Fantastic idea, fantastic magnet, poorly executed slide opening.
