It works. Hard to use. Hard to match the color. But beats paying a professional a ton of money!
This stuff works. It is quite hard to get it right. Its hard to get it to cure properly. Its difficult to match the color. But it does work. It took me a few tries to get it to harden up and cure properly. My son chipped a brand new vanity top. I was not happy. But I bought this kit and I got it fixed in a satisfactory manner. The chip was right on the edge where the cutout is for the bottom mounted sink. It was a tough spot. The first few tries just came right off when i went to sand them flat. After reviewing lots of feedback on here, and looking at a few videos, I sorted it out. There are a few tricks. First, I had to build a dam with clear packing tape on the edge. Then I taped the curing strip down with a wee bit of packing tape. This encapsulated the repair material into the chip and created the appropriate shape. Then, i figured out I could not use the little cardboard stand to hold the light in place, as that did not work at all for me. I literally had to hold the light by hand, and move it back an forth over the repair. This was not a big repair. Maybe 3/8" at most. But it still required me to hold the light by hand and move it around the repair area. Hold it as close as you can without actually touching the repair. And do this for about 3 times longer than recommended. I did it for almost 15 minutes. After 7 minutes or so, lightly use the tip of the light to test the hardness of the repair, and keep going until the whole repair is rock hard. Also, I had a hard time matching the color. But the vanity top was speckled, so it was not as obvious as if it were a solid color vanity. i think i got luckly there. But the stuff works. Once I sorted the process, the repair was completely solid and flush. They provide all of the sanding materials and polishing stuff. Its a quality kit. And it works. Just be patient. And do your research.

Satisfied customer
I was so happy with the results! If you did not know where the chip was it was unnoticeable. I was able to match the color of my granite perfectly. The entire process took only minutes to complete. I feel like a real Do It Yourself(er)!

Overall it did the job I was hoping it would do (filling some chips in a granite countertop)
I had two issues. First, the little cardboard piece that is supposed to support the light is really not adequate. The manufacturer should improve this. I think that the reason others have reported difficulty getting this compound to cure was due to the light not being close enough or focused enough. A better support for the light would be a simple fix and a big improvement. Also, be careful with the syringe containing the rubbing compound. This is also a poor design. If you are not very careful, all of the rubbing compound will squirt out at one shot (this is what happened to me). I was able to repair 5 chips and it looks pretty good.

Get it, is worth it! Good product and company
Great product. The original lamp that came with the package was not working that well, and after contacting the company not only was it replaced but I got an extra one personally delivered by Tim, Director Surface Repair Division. Tim demonstrated the process (just like the videos) The company will also send me an extra package, Amazing customer support and they stand behind their product 100%. I will recommend this product to all home owners good kit to have in your back pocket. The product works as advertised following the instructions it sets fast and looks great. If the problem is more than a chip (like a long crack) the company can also help with other products.

Well, at least this brand came with instructions!
But some parts that were referenced in said instructions were not in box. This one had shades of brown rather than clear. The dark brown was a good match. However, it seemed to absorb the curing light even mire slowly than the clear I tried last week. On the pro side, this came with a little cardboard stand to hold the light in the proper place for you.

Waste
As many have stated this product is hard to work with, messy and doesn’t perform as described. For the price it’s completely overpriced. The UV light provided is not effective. I even used a large commercial UV light and still wouldn’t harden. Find another product and save the frustration and money.

Easy to Use
I used this product to repair a small hole in my kitchen granite counter top. I started off by testing a small amount of material on a sheet of paper. I wanted to test for drying time and hardness. I found that a 30 minute to one hour drying time under the UV light produced the results I was looking for. Next I mixed some color combinations on a white sheet of paper to match the counter top where the small hole was. Once I found the correct color match, I mixed up a batch of material that was enough to fill the hole. I used a toothpick to fill the hole until the material was flush with the counter top. Next I used the supplied clear strip to flatten the material. (leave the clear plastic strip in place). Then I used the UV light to cure the material. I did a cure time of one hour. 10 to 15 minutes is not enough cure time. If the material feels tacky at the end of the cure time, wipe the material with the supplied alcohol wipes. The tackiness will be gone after the wipe. I only used the 2000 grit sand paper to sand the material flat with the counter top because I got the right amount of material in the hole. Take your time with the sanding. I finished of the project with the polishing compound. I asked people to look for the repaired area and nobody could find the spot that I repaired. This product is easy to use. Just follow the directions, There is nothing hard about this. The light that comes with the kit is a little funky but it works. The switch that keeps the light on is not readily noticeable, but its there and it works. This is the product you want to use to repair your granite counter top.

never solidifies
Looks so easy in the video. What they dont tell you is there is a little switch to keep the led light on. much better than just pressing the side. But, alas, even after solving the light problem the product is a complete waste of time because it never dries.they say 5-7 minutes. How about not dry after 50 (thats right 50) minutes.Too bad.Oh they do mention to dab with alcohol if its still tacky.tried that twice too.Ive used epoxy, J&B Weld and numerous other products with 100% success. So it aint me.

Take you time and it will work
Worked perfectly, not a 10 min fix, give your self 1 hour and take your time, just make sure you have a 2000 grit sandpaper before polish.

Fehlkauf
Auf einer Silestonearbeitsplatte sieht das Ergebnis wie eine Silikonfüllung aus uns fühlt sich auch so an.
