TimexTime Machines Kids 29 mm Elastic Fabric Watch

I’m a teacher and was so pleased to find a watch for my son that had a really clear face including both the numbers of hours and the minutes. A lot of the kids watches these days count up to 30 minutes / half past, then the minutes start counting back down to 0. At an early stage I think it’s better that the children can see the actual number past the hour so they properly understand the length of the hour and make a link to a digital time E.g. 2:48…rather than confusing them with 12 minutes to 3. The watch strap is easy to adjust and comfortable. The watch seems pretty robust. My son hasn’t worn it in the bath or pool so can’t tell you if it would stand up to a long immersion. My son really likes the second hand which is a helicopter that rotates around screen. Great first watch.

This was a present for my daughter's birthday. I was surprised and pleased to find that it had a glittery dial-the pictures show a metallic pink one. This watch has been brilliant for learning my girl to tell the time!The only negative I have is, as other reviews have mentioned, the strap. It would be so much easier if the tightening bracket was on top of the strap instead of the inside. It makes tightening the watch quite frustrating for both myself and my girl!Having said that, I would still buy it again as the design is so lovely. I like how the strap is one piece that goes through the back of the watch instead of two separate straps fixed on with pins, which kids usually end up breaking!

Bought for daughter at Christmas and the elastic strap is easy to adjust and fit on different wrist sizes. The watch is simple, lightweight and easy to understand. Also a named brand at a reasonable price.

Perfect for helping my grandaughter to tell the time

Good value, pretty little watch to give as a gift. Easy strap to attach to wrist of a 6 year old.

Purchased for my military loving 10 year old. He absolutely loves it and wears it daily. The moving helicopter is a great idea and perfect for military loving kids! It seems to be keeping good time and the elasticated strap is comfortable on little wrists. Overall very happy with this purchase. Not the cheapest watch for children but I would say worth the extra.

Overall a great 1st watch. Band will fray over time, but has stood up so far. Numbers make it a good teaching tool. Main gripe is that in the specifications it says "Back Light" under "special features." That's part of the reason I bought it. It does not have a back light.

Our granddaughter was so excited to get this for her birrhday, she was jumping up and down while she was opening the box. The first day she went to bed with the watch still on her wrist, refusing to take it off. She finally was convinced to sit it on the night stand beside her bed. After only a few tries, she is already learning to tell time. This is a great educational tool.as well as definitive guidepost in a child's life to say they are maturing and can be trusted with more responsibility. Wil have to see how durable it really is. I had my first Timex watch well into my teens and twenties before it stopped working. The flexible strap is really easy for kids to put on and off but may not wear well in heavy athletic outdoor play. Not sure the watch is water resistant, will be tracking that as a key factor in my follow up review. The fact it is analog is essential for teaching skills and critical abilities. Will revisit this review in a few weeks and update if there is anything new to report.
