The mirror is very pretty and fits nicely in the corner of my room where I wanted it to go. It was very well packed and arrived with no damage. You could mount this mirror on the wall but it also has a stand so that it can be used as a floor mirror. The stand was part of the reason why I got it, because I didn't a want a mirror that had to be mounted. Unfortunately there is no way to lock the stand in the open position. The mirror is heavy enough that that the stand will stay open anyway, however, I think if it was bumped hard enough it would fold up and fall over. Since it is in a corner area of a bedroom inhabited by adults I think it will be okay but I definitely wouldn't put this in a kid's room where the likelihood of an accidental bump is exponentially higher.
