Wellness Simple Natural Wet Canned Limited Ingredient Dog Food, Turkey & Potato, 12.5-Ounce Can (Pack of 12)

I found this dog food because my dog has severe allergies to a lot of food that is currently on the market. She cannot have anything has fish, beef, pork, poultry. A lot of foods use salmon oil or fish oil’s to add omega fatty acids to the food. This is one of the few that do not. The ingredients are extremely simple which is what I like the best about this food every two it’s important that when you get Your dog tested for allergies you take your time and look at the ingredients. My dog absolutely gobbles it down and loves every bite! She also uses the dry food as a companion to the wet. Be aware if you have a smaller dog the size of each pallet is pretty large. I have a German Shepherd which have absolutely no issue eating this food, but I would imagine for smaller dogs it would be pretty large for small dogs. But great dog food for German Shepherd or any dogs that have allergies!

I ordered 2 cases of the turkey and potato for my dog who eats the dry version of this food regularly. It's great food that agrees with his sensitive stomach. The price was great ($23.09 per case) and the cans arrived in perfect condition with a generous expiration date (labeled "best by 16August 2021", received in March 2019). The only weirdness was the same-day delivery service (Dynamex) for some reason left the box sitting on the ground at the end of my driveway instead of on the porch. I was very pleased to be able to get this with free same-day delivery on a Sunday though, because my dog was recovering from surgery and we could not get him to eat his normal kibble. The price at the local pet stores was $12 per case more, so it was a great buy. You might just want to watch carefully with the same day deliveries. I guess if you say you need it that day they expect you to be home and watching for it.

My dog will eat this dog food when she turns her nose up at other food.

My 7 1/2 yr old pup had started incessantly licking his paws to the point of concern and annoyance on my part. I purchased medicated wipes for pets and went to the vet and nothing was working. Sometimes he would lick and chew to the point of being raw. I read the review in searching for a dog food yo eliminate allergies and lack of nutrition from other foods. I had been giving him vet recommend food all along but couldn’t figure out how to stop the licking and chewing. My pup has been dating his for a little over 2 weeks along with the canned food by this brand (I mix them in portions) In two weeks he has stopped the licking and chewing and his coat is silky and I am so pleased. It is so emotional and difficult in figuring out what to do with your animal when they cannot tell you what is wrong except thru behavior. So thankful for this product and the price point is reasonable considering other brands are at least 20$ more. I have fed my pets wellness products exclusively. They liked it and thrived.

We've been feeding Wellness to our kitties for almost twenty years; they love it so we decided to try the dog food. Our boy has a sensitive stomach so we try to get him foods with limited ingredients. He loved this food but 1) it's very pricey and 2) the cans are not easy-open pop-tops and we've gone through three different can openers trying to open them. You might not have a problem if you're a weight-lifter but if you don't have strong hands or if you are at all arthritic you'll need a blowtorch to open these *&^%$#@! cans. Wellness does pack some of their dog foods in pop-top cans; no idea why they don't do the same with all of their products. (Yes, I've contacted them direct without success.) If you've got a body-builder in the house by all means give this food a try -- our dog likes it and it doesn't seem to upset his stomach. (I should mention that we tried manual can openers only after two electric can openers couldn't get the bloody cans open.) Good food, poor packaging.
