I gave this item three stars as Jolida appears to be building quality products. With that said... the Jolida site, and other sites, state the power requirements for THIS unit is for either 110 volts or 220 volts. Other Jolida products are stated as 110-120 volts. Research with (electricians) the following result: The power requirements NOTED on an appliance is the MAXIMUM the appliance can handle.Recently - app June 2015 I noticed an increase in the voltage service to my home from an average 115-118 volts - TO - 118-123 volts DAILY VOLTAGE - today Nov. 2015 it is 2AM with low demand (in PA.) - I have a 118 volt indication. The voltage will drop as you turn items on in your home but through time the higher voltage can negatively affect an appliance. Check the rating on the label. When I noticed light bulbs burning out much quicker than the past 20 years in my home....the information offered revealed: an 5 volt increase from 115 to 120 of an 115 volt rated bulb will reduce the lifespan of a bulb by half.
