Very useful and well researched. Not a regular travel guide but great for those who want to enjoy, and understand the history of these islands.

Interesting read and better than many other guide books.

Great little book.

The best guides for a cultural visit of the Greek islands, hands down; unbeatable on heritage, architecture etc., with some insight on the culture and everyday life of the islands, recommendations for walks, and some spare comments about the landscape and the beaches. Virtually NO practical info, so don't make it your only guide if that's what you need. But it's the best second guidebook to bring, at the very least — by far. (It's also lightweight, which helps if you bring two guidebooks or more.)
