PURE Grain Free Salmon and Sweet Potato Wet Dog Food, Case of 12

We have 3 dogs. 1 of them has Bad allergies and this product is one of the few on the market that DOESNT have what she is allergic to. She has bad reactions to Poultry, Eggs, Dairy, and highest reaction to Flaxseed, which has been added to so much pet food now. 1. They love the flavor, I was worried because they were eating Lamb for so long 2. Each can so far has had a nice texture 3. The smell doesnt bother me, but it is fishy. Happy to have as an option to give medication, and the others just love it.

A couple of years ago we found out that my mom’s 20Lb Maltese-poodle cross was allergic to poultry. As much as he loves chicken and Turkey it gives him terrible stomach problems and a lot of itching, we switched him to a fish based limited ingredient food that was super expensive, and then my mom found Canidae. Definitely worth buying this food for dogs with food sensitivities and allergies, fairly priced and excellent quality dog food, does not require a prescription, and it’s free from harmful fillers and hormones. Now My mom’s dog refuses to eat anything else!

Eight of the 24 cans were bent damaged not just dented. The product is good. I’ve used the product for years, but on occasion, the shipping gets bad and some of the product is destroyed good product bad process.

Dog is picky, but switched up to this with some dry food to fatten him up.

DO NOT FEED THIS TO YOUR DOG! There's something horribly wrong with it! I'd previously bought the same salmon/sweet potato Canidae food at my local pet store, trying to find a salmon based food for my dog who has food sensitivities. We had nine cans of it, and my dog liked it and was doing well on it. When we were getting low on it, I ordered more from Amazon. The first can I opened from the new case did not look the same as what we bought locally, didn't smell the same, and had a different texture. I checked the expiration date, and the food was not expired. At that point I incorrectly assumed that Canidae had reformulated their recipe, and I fed some of the new food to my dog. Unfortunately she became ill and vomited several times throughout the day. This food has either gone bad, or they've put the wrong product in the cans. I don't know if it's spoiled, or perhaps if it's a different flavor, but either way, Canidae's quality control is very poor. After my dog vomited the first time, I came back to the Amazon website to see if other's had a problem with this food, and saw other reviews stating that their order of dog food also looked and smelled different. Please read all the reviews to understand that my problem with this food is not unique. There's definitely something wrong with this and it should not be fed to your pet! I called Canidae to report the problem and request a refund. Based on the barrage of questions they asked me, it seemed that they wanted to blame me for letting my dog eat something else (she hadn't eaten anything else), and deny that there was a problem with their food. I let them know that there were similar reviews here on Amazon, and that they should be aware of a serious, perhaps life threatening problem with their food. As for my refund request, they denied it and offered me a coupon to buy more food. I had to escalate my request to a manager who also could not provide me with a refund. I gave Canidae a try, but this problem is just too severe for me to trust them with the health of my dog again. I will never buy Canidae again, and a coupon is worthless to me. Fortunately, Amazon made an exception to their policy of not accepting returns on dog food, and refunded my money. Even more importantly, my dog seems to be feeling a bit better today. Please don't buy this food for your dog. It should be recalled, but probably won't be. It's not fit for consumption!

This wet food is great for your dogs, it has limited ingredients and the salmon and sweet potatoe is nutritious for dogs also. My poodle ans chihuahua love it! The dry Canidae is great also! I would recommend it to anyone!

My dog loves this food. Because it is a very dense, rich, pate consistency, I am able to roll it into balls and administer her medications no problem. I also use it as a topper for her regular meals. It’s just a great formula for dogs with allergies and/or sensitivities to certain ingredients.
