Amazing video quality and a solid app. Go elsewhere for accessories.
I bought the DR900X-2CH to replace a NextBase 612GW after being rear-ended (giggity) and finding that the NextBase outright refused to let me have the footage. I've only had the Blackvue in in a short time, but they're currently on offer and the reviews for this model are thin on the ground with a couple being completely useless meme reviews so here's my honest impressions. Positives: • Video quality and low-light performance is very clearly in a different leage to the NextBase 612GW and Viofo (unsure which model - borrowed it) 4K cams I've used. • The app is lightyears ahead of NextBase (genuinely the worst app I've ever used, period). Very easy to move footage around and play with it in OpenShot. • Hardwiring kit is provided, unlike some of the competition. Negatives: • The rear camera's mounting is a bit flimsy and doesn't seem to stick as well as the front (both windows cleaned, then degreased with CarPro Eraser). • Official Blackvue SD cards are criminally expensive, with top-end high-endurance cards from Sandisk, Transcend, Samsung etc. being sold on Amazon for massively less (e.g. BV 128GB = £169.99, Transcend = £19.97). Blackvue don't have a chip fab and their cards will just be one of those with a lick of paint anyway, making the 90% price hike all the more unforgivable. Neutrals: • A 90 degree connector on both ends of the rear camera cable would have been nice for a cleaner install (connection front is 90deg, rear is straight). This totally depends on your car though. That's all for now. I'll update after a week or two of playing.

The camera is great - the app is not so great
The camera is first rate in every respect. The App leaves a bit to be desired, some effort from Blackvue in this respect would be very welcome. The main issues are the horrendously slow download speeds from the camera and cloud to my iPhone - and yes, both camera and phone have a decent data signal. In summary - expensive but the camera is very good and easy to install, what lets it down to a degree is the app performance which is mediocre at best.

If picture quality is what you're after then look no further.
Came very well packaged, got a very good deal from amazon so the money I saved went towards getting it fitted professionally from a local installer. Easy to set up and connect to phone but let's face it the big selling point for this is the picture quality and on both front & rear cameras that does not disappoint! Yes it's expensive but should the worst happen I'd rather know I have the best quality footage to help me out. Adam

Works great
A little expense but works well, The mobile app to manage it is a little awkward, and it nags to setup a cloud account.

Read app store reviews before buying
So straight out the box the camera looks and feels good. First down side is the overpriced memory card. Buy a camera with the smallest card and buy a decent named brand memory card for a fraction of the price difference. Second fault, and it is a major issue is the App. The app is next to useless. You will need to take the card out the camera and put into a computer to view anything. If you don't believe me look at the 1.9 star review on Google play store were literally no one can get the app to work. So in summary if you want a camera for it's connectivity look elsewhere. If you want something to lower insurance costs get the cheapest model and don't waste your money

Disappointed, previous 750 model superior
Very poor playback image quality when zooming, night zoom is a waste of time when reading things like number plates, only 1 minute file playback which isn’t great as a driving instructor. DR750 is superior to this, 900x’s 4K 30fps is useless.

Great Security Gadget
Yes; it is a bit pricy but if like me, your car is an expense worth protecting then this is a must gadget! Excellent ultra high definition video. A comfort to know your vehicle is security protected when parked - video evidence front and rear for those ‘drive road plonkers’ on the road. …a minority; but there are some idiots on the road! BlackVue: I believe a good insurance investment. Note: for i cloud a further purchase and subscription is required...

Quality product
I like the quality you get what you pay for simple to use and reliable too only one thing I’d like to see is a slightly wider angle at the front camera other than that No complaints
