Perfect Addition to My Pellet Grill
My pellet grill is in an area with limited outdoor lighting. It does have a light and a window in the grilling area so that I can see what happening with the food. But there was no light on the control panel. Worse, if you happen to hit the wrong button, the grill would have to go through a shutdown and start up sequence to get back to the same temperature.This panel light was the perfect solution, inspired by lighting on older aircraft instrument panels. I was able to drill a 1/4" hole in the pellet hopper cabinet an inch or so above the control panel, and tap into the 12 volt wiring running to the grill area light. Now when I turn on the grilling area light I can also see the entire control panel. The light is bright white, but since it is directed downward, does not shine in my eyes.It also seems to be rugged enough to withstand the grill cover being put on and taken off.Perfect solution. Should work on other equipment where 12 volt DC power is available.Note that the wires are a very small gauge, probably 22ga. However I was able to get a good connection using automotive crimp connectors rated for 22-18ga.FYI, this light was installed on a GMG Daniel Boone Prime grill.

Wires are like human hair. Heavier gauge like 20 would make item more durable.

Great product.
They are very bright, the mounting post is a little large for what "I" wanted them for but I will order about 10 more to light the dash of a plane. So bright I will need to install a dimmer. Great product.
