An excellent crate for the cost. Similar crates in major pet stores near me were selling for double or more . This one is very easy to assemble (took all of 30 seconds) and is the perfect size for my little shih tzu puppy. I bought her a very comfy memory foam bed to go inside and it fits perfectly. I also bought the exercise pen and crate cover by Midwest and it's great being able to connect the covered crate to her pen for her to have a comfy and safe place all of her own. The top tends to disconnect with a small amount of pressure, but so long as you're careful about it, it's fairly sturdy.

I got my cat a soft kennel to put her outside on my deck in the summer; and she chewed the netting on the door and got out. I'm on the fifth floor and she jumps on the railing. I sent it back to Amazon and they refunded my money promptly and sent me a shipping label for it. I ordered the wire kennel and it is just the size and works great. I put a blanket in it for the cat and she seems to be happy in it. Now I can sit on my deck in the summer and not worry about my cat.

Very easy to assemble.Very basic crate...I’ve purchased better quality in the past.Bottom tray is not removable, which makes difficult to clean up messes. Latch on door difficult to open lock & unlock.BEWARE!!Bottom of door poses a risk for little doggy mouths that like to nibble. My pup’s lower jaw got suck between the bottom crate bars below the crate’s door. He was crying loudly, thankfully I was home & he didn’t get hurt. This will only happen if the crate door is left open.

I recently adopted a 5 month old Black Lab. Previous owners were very inconsistent with her. The first day was very stressful for both of us as she kept chewing on anything that caught her eye. I tried to block her in the kitchen but she kept escaping and causing a mess throughout the house. I decided I needed to crate train her. To overcome any anxiety I covered all but one side of the crate with a blanket. It gives her security and a sense of having a safe place that is hers. Tossed in one of her beds, some plush toys and snacks. She goes in and out and views it as a positive experience. I do put locks on the closures just to make sure she cannot get the door open with her paws. To date there have been no problems and it has really served its purpose. The crate is up against a corner wall where she can see everything that is going on in the livingroom\kitchen. Very pleased with the purchase. It seems to be well made, easy to clean and was well worth the investment.
