Deseau Soft Moisturizing Socks with Gel Lining

My little brother came to visit and commented on how dry my feet were and compared them to his own (soft as babies feet). Feeling understandably shamed by my crusty tootsies, I knew I had to do more than just sand the snot out of them in the shower. I found these booties and thought, "What the heck!"Wow, these things are really amazing. I wore them for several hours the first day and...well...if you have a weak stomach you may want to skip this part. My feet looked GRAY and the previously dry skin basically wiped right off.[if you're thinking, "NASTY!!" right now, you're right! It was!]I hopped in the shower and scrubbed my feet and again, WOW. My feet look GREAT. Even the cuticles around my toe nails didn't stand a chance against the moisturizing power of these booties!!The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I found a small hole in one bootie as I was rinsing it off. I'm not sure if it was there when I got them or if I walked a hole in them (I only weight like 130, so it would be weird that I'd done it).So besides the creepy feeling that your walking on Jello, these booties are worth every penny. I'm wearing them right now and when I see my little brother next, I plan on putting his silky soft feet to SHAME.

** I like to state that at the beginning since nothing is more frustrating than getting to the end of a review and finding out it was bought.I have very dry skin that gets more and more sensitive the drier it gets. I simply hate the white cotton socks and gloves I have always used. Rather than allowing my skin to soak up moisture from my lotion the white gloves have always soaked up the lotion and never seem to wash clean. I was skeptical that these new socks would relieve my dry heels without the addition of lotion, but since other users had used them in conjunction with a lotion I decided to try these. When they arrived I decided the gel lining was thicker than I had thought and skipped the lotion for my first night. I was amazed at the difference in my heels after just a few hours of wearing these(I tend to kick off my socks during the night). Since that first night I have used these about 3-4 times a week for about 1.5 to 2 hours and love them. The socks tend to be cool when I first put them on but warm quickly. I know others have complained about the scent but it doesn’t bother me and I barely notice it.

My 74 year-old mother just happened to mention that she had really dry, cracked feet and that it was hard for her to bend down and put moisturizer on them. (And being a nurse, the thought of her falling over trying to do this or walking around with lotion on the bottoms of her feet—even in regular socks, concerned me.) I wasn’t sure these socks would work for her, but I thought it would be worth the money to find out. Both my mother and I were pleasantly surprised that they made her feet “soft as a baby’s bottom” (her words) within the first thirty minutes she had them on. These will go on my list of stocking stuffers for everyone I know—especially those with limited range of motion or those who are diabetic.

Summertime in Las Vegas + long work days = harsh conditions for the feet... I've been seriously abusing/neglecting them. I have had deep cracks and unsightly feet, and my big toenails without polish looked really unsightly (I thought there was fungus on them, that's how bad it looked).So after using the microplane in the shower and putting some cocoa butter on my feet, that wasn't enough. Ordered these Friday, and it got here Sunday, and I treated myself to these socks. I put the cocoa butter on my feet, and left them on for about 40 minutes. Lo and behold...they looked happy again. But most shocking were my toenails!! It's been 15 hours since I've had them on, and my toenails are happiest they've been for a year. And yes, I am going to do another round tonight for the cracks on the bottom of my feet--they're showing up in fine lines, but not nearly as bad as it has been. Hallelujah!Aside, I wear a women's shoe 9, and these are snug. Not uncomfortably so, but any larger feet will have an issue. I walked around the house and it's fun feeling the gel squish... there is a tag in the bag of the foot that an earlier reviewer was complaining about, but I use it to help pull the sock on and off without having to touch the gel.

Here's what you have to know: these socks will only fit up to about size 9.5 women US. I wear a 9.5 and they barely cover my heels. Also you must put a moisturizer on your feet then put the socks on. They work as a moisture sealant and will not simply moisturize that we'll on their own. If you use a good lotion then leave them on for at least an hour your feet really feel great afterward. Last thing is that these aren't made to be worn while walking around. Before bed would be ideal.

Couple things to know about these socks. First, they run extremely small. I’m a women’s 9 shoe, and they barely stayed on the one time I tried wearing them. Second, while the soft fluffy exterior is cute, the insides feel like a sticky plastic mousepad. It’s just unpleasant; I had my husband feel the inside just to make sure I’m not nuts. His comparisons are not safe for a review.If you have tiny feet and aren’t weirded out by odd textures, these would probably be fine. I won’t be wearing them again.

These socks definitely do their job! They do, however, feel very “squishy” and I can only tolerate them for so long. I can’t see myself sleeping in them, personally, but they’re great for watching tv or relaxing for a few hours. I suppose you could walk around in them, but it feels too weird so I don’t. They’ve transformed my dry, cracked heels and I’ve even run them through the washer a few times with zero issues. They may feel weird, but I didn’t buy them because I wanted comfortable socks and they do what they say they will do so I am still rating them 5 stars.
