Don't buy unless you want size 11, if you want bigger or just dont care then go ahead.....
Well I should have been leaving a 5 star review because honestly I love these gloves. Headline of description and in the about part of description it clearly states size 7. I recieved size 11 so this sucks... I have a pair of size 7, I've had them for over a year and they are still in good condition but definitely getting worn. I work for a manufacturing company that builds boards for for jets and all types of hi tech equipment. So I use these gloves everyday almost selectively soldering components to boards. These gloves are the best I have found so far for very high temperatures and still have good grip. They dont feel like you are wearing oven mitts which some other gloves feel like in comparison. I wish they were size 7.UPDATE After thinking about it for a while and looking at other reviews, I decided to purchase just one pair at a time. Wouldn't you know it I received the size 7 I needed. Thanks

Not for cooks
Got these gloves because I have a gigantic Calphalon frying pan I can hardly lift, and I have to get right up to the joint between the handle and the pan in order to pick it up to empty it. When it's hot, that's a trick, and I wanted a gripper glove that would prevent my hand from getting burned but gave me more dexterity than an oven mitt. Not sure what the heat threshold is on this baby, but it is quite obviously not high enough Calphalon dumping...fortunately the pan was only an inch above the stove when I had to release it due to the heat transfer. I gave it 4 stars because I think for its intended purposes it would be fine.

I work as a Flight Attendant and use these gloves when removing cooked meals from the airplane galley ovens. The ovens cook at temperatures between 130°C (266°F) and 150°C (302°F). I'm able to unload 200+ aluminum packaged meals in no time with these gloves. The thermal protection is great and the light weight still allows for plenty of dexterity - especially important when loading the hot meal packages into delicate cardboard boxes.I've used these MAPA gloves, as well as their orange middle weight glove. These lightweight gloves provide more natural and precise hand movement while still providing thermal protection.

Great for managing logs in a fire!
I bought these for my husband to use when arranging logs in our pit or fireplace. He was always grabbing logs with his bare hands and moving them around as the fire burned and needed logs added. After a couple "almost" burns, I ordered these gloves. He now wears these and can move logs that are hot (of course by grabbing an end outside the flame, not the part that is actually on fire) and they are enough to protect his hands from the heat of the fire. Great price, and so far have held up and worked just as well as pricier ones we have tried. He actually prefers these over the expensive ones that came in his grill set because they are thin & don't limit his dexterity.I have used them to adjust hot light bulbs in our track lighting (which must be done when the light is on so you can tell where it is shining) & they work great. I can still grasp the bulbs and maneuver the the lamp part with no burnt fingertips. As far as sizing - my husband has small hands, and I have thin hands but long fingers, & the size 7 fits us both.

Decent hear protection but a little too bulky in the fingers if you are working with small objects or need close control
Have a hot foil stamping machine. These were purchased to protect from burns. I generally like them, but they're really big (bought a size 7) for woman's hands. They are heat protective but I find myself taking them off multiple times because the rubber tips are thicker than I had hoped for so I can't easily pick up or manipulate small items. Perhaps they're just a little big. I now them more like a "pot holder" because they get in the way of my work.

Great Quality
I got these in size 7 (small) to put in my son's emergency bag. The quality is great. I am able to lift a boiling hot pot out of the fire with them and they still look the same. So it seems they will last. I will need to order a couple more pair for our shop. The only thing is that they run big. I normally wear a medium in medical gloves and these fit me great, with room to spare. So I would love to see an extra small to better fit kids, or people with smaller hands.

Not Great For Pyography
Bought these to use while doing pyography. The gloves fit fine but not long after starting my work, I felt my pointer finger getting hot.Guess they’re better than nothing at all but I was expecting a higher quality product. Will have to keep searching.
