The First Years Portable Peace Travel Sound Machine, Multi Colored

Great for travel. Clip to car seat or pack n play for on the go sound machine. I especially love it in the car. When he was 4 months old he hated his carseat. I could turn this on and he would calm down. My girls also love the music on it and pretend play ballet class with it. It has several different sounds and has been a big hit in our home. We are traveling 14 hrs in July and I'm excited to have this in the car and to not have to take my sound machine with us too.

I had the “first edition” when my now 7 year old was a baby. I liked that it plugged into the wall and also that the sounds mimic the womb. Worked like a charm. The new version is cheap. The sound clarity and quality even when it is working is poor compared to the original machine which we keep in our other child’s room. After about a half hour of continuous use it makes a strange interference screeching noise that it definitely is not intended to make. We have to return it because the interference noise makes it unusable. Disappointed.

Very nice and portable. The batteries seem to last a long time. The speaker is small so some of the sounds are really muffled and it's hard to tell what they are. Does the job for a portable sound machine for my son

If you are looking for white noise, I don't think this is your best option. It has a lot of options for sounds, but I think white noise works best with our baby and I wanted a travel version. This one isn't the best for that, but it does work great and has a lot of sound options.

I don't normally write a lot of reviews but after I bought the homedics baby sound machine and it didn't work the first time, I decided to give this one a try even though it only had one review. So after using it for several days I decided I had to write a review because my daughter LOVES it!!! It's loud enough and doesn't shut off automatically. The white noise is great. The fact that it doesn't shut off automatically is great because I have one that does and she would always wake up the second it turned off.

I was super excited about this product, but it didn't meet my expectations so I returned it.We normally use this white noise machine  myBaby SoundSpa Portable  for our little guy. I was looking for a portable white noise machine to take on trips (both car and plane) to help him sleep in the stroller/carseat/whatever while literally on the go. This product had 3 five star reviews, so I thought I'd give it a try.Unfortunately the white noise options on this are AWFUL. There are 5 different ones, and they are all just terrible. The "plain" white noise is too high pitched and is just irritating. I can't imagine having to listen to it for any length of time. The other 4 white noise options have a variety of thumping/gurgling/knocking/wooshing sounds in them... all bad. I guess I assumed some of the white noise options would be nature-like... but no...This machine does have the option of 5 different songs which actually aren't too bad. It will play the songs back to back in loop, or you can choose an individual song to play repeatedly. If your baby is into music, than this product may actually work for you. Unfortunately, music seems to stimulate my baby, which is the opposite affect I am going for. I also think music would be annoying to other people as we were walking around.It has volume control - the lowest setting is a bit louder than I would like. The highest setting is pretty loud, especially for the small size of this device. It does not have a timer, so this will stay on until you turn it off or until it runs out of battery whichever comes first. I did not test it for battery life.The size of this is actually quite nice. It would fit in a travel/diaper bag easily. It has a nice loop that you could attach to any stroller/carseat/pack and play, and it secures nicely.Overall - I would totally love this device if it had nature sound options or a better, more neutral "white noise" sound. If you want music, buy it! If you want white noise, stay away!

I have never written a review before, but this product was just crap and wanted to warn any other potential buyers. My son loves ocean sounds and any time he gets fussy we turn on a sound machine and he calms right down. When we are out of the house we use our phones, and having our phones running for so long with sound really eats the battery, so I decided to find a portable unit to bring along with us. Not only is the sound quality crap, but some of the sounds are just plain weird, like honking cars/traffic? Thats my best guess for what it could be. Even the white noise option sounds crappy. So I will be returning it and finding another one.

We have several of another brand of travel sound machines and we like each for different reasons. The main perk of this sound machine is the little rubbery latch/hook. We use this to hang on top of the baby's car seat and turn it on in the car to help soothe him. It also has a LOT more sound options than the other sound machine we have, and the volume goes louder as well. Great product and would recommend to anyone with a newborn!

Bought this a couple months ago, and used it regularly until it started to cycle between the white noise sounds on it's own. It sounds completely terrifying now, and although the noise doesn't upset my baby, it scares the heck out of me every time it changes channels. Maybe it would be good for Halloween decor? Or for a soundtrack for a haunted house?

The white noise sounds are definitely weird. Even the plain one is kind of high pitched and gives me a racing feeling of anxiety if I listen too long. Also it eats through batteries pretty quickly so this is not for everyday use and you will want to turn it off after babe goes to sleep. Also the battery hatch requires a tiny screwdriver so... if you are packing extra batteries you will also want to pack the stupid screwdriver as well. Good for camping though!

A little staticky but does the trick

Batteries dont last very long if you use it over night.When the batteries start to die it makes harsh sounds at random that can wake the baby up.Would be a better product if it had a timer and was charged by USB.

Bought this when my 1st was born for traveling about 2 years ago. Just bought a 2nd one (got 2 kids now) and it's great for traveling and lower outage since our kids sleep with white noise.
