For some reason, bird baths such as this are hard to find. This one is well made, and, it fits securely ol a standard parrakeet cage door. I like it.

This product was challenging to use with the cage. Not a bad product for the price, however, the connectors that slide onto the top of the device broke within a few weeks.

It's so strange because I've seen so many objections to the brown color! My preference would also be for a nice clear or pretty blue one, and definitely one that is one piece not two... but I tell myself, OK, I ain't the one using it! And my two finches have either seemed terrified by any of the prettier colored, and/or one-piece ones that have "shown up" in their cage (so I had to take the new bath out asap) or they just ignored it, which is also not OK. I don't want to risk disrupting access to bathing. It's too important, and it's clearly something they totally love doing. So I'm re-ordering this one, and praying it's still brown! I figure these two Finches are really sensitive to environmental change, and that might be why they quite often reject or avoid something new - including yummy (but new) foods.Also, in case it helps others, I should add that I did not hang this bath at the opening as it is designed for, because like some other reviewers I had trouble making the outside hanging arrangement work with the cage I have. Instead I removed the clips & I stand it at the bottom of the cage, against the back (the side opposite the door). I use a small plastic jar lid underneath to level it. It's worked fine this way. Maybe it's not as no-mess as hanging it on the outside: they can splash a fair amount of water around when they're both in there at the same time having a ball. But to me that's been an OK trade-off against the high likelihood that any bath protruding from their cage would get accidentally jostled or even knocked off, because of where their cage stands. Not only would that also be plenty messy, but I've learned the hard way that these will chip or crack if they hit the floor hard. I don't think it's something I could say is a product defect: it's made of a fairly thin rigid plastic which makes it light weight and attractive, and the floor is hard, not carpeted - and I've got dysfunctional hands, I do drop things.So I've patched the one I just dropped [Gorilla Brand "Clear Repair Tape "- fantastic stuff!], and I'm back here buying a new one again. I bought this last one in March last year, so it feels like an OK use-value for what it costs. Anyhow, I checked in to see if I could tell from what others were saying if it was still going to be the old brown-tinted one, and realized it was time I also contributed to the great buyer information that I've been so glad to be able to make use of - thanks everyone!

First I have to say, I saw another review talking about how old and ugly they are so I had to check for myself and sure enough it says 1985 on the bottom of the clearly 80s box and product. I laughed so hard. I actually like the color because I got these for my very very messy baby finch cages and all the finch cages I keep as "natural" looking as possible so I did not want an actual color.As for functionality. I got these for the "you & me" 30 inch finch cages and the main bottom clip does not work for these cages (bath bows out too much). You have to use the spare top clips and tie off the food/water door to stay up. The top clips are not very snug so I had to superglue them on to the lid and now they work just fine. That's the drawback to "universal". You usually have to alter slightly to fit your specific cage.Not having water splashed all over the place multiple times a day because they love bathing makes these worth it. Cheaper than in store as well.

I almost didn't purchase this bird bath because several of the orevious comments talked about leaks and spills. I bought it anyway, expecting to be dissapointed....but I wasn't! I ordered two of the baths and both have worked out perfect!! My first concern was that the bath wouldn't fit on my door because the smaller cage doors swing out on a hinge (they don't slide up and down). But I propped the door open with a round ring from my key chain and the bath fit perfectly!! The bottom bracket is long enough to adjust to many door heights and/or cage wiring and the top hooks hold it very secure. Each of my cages house love birds (Fisher and Peach Face) and I've seen them get in there and bathe and dance and play, two birds at a time, and the bath remains safely secured to the cage. THEY LOVE IT. I've had zero problems with leaks and any spills have been due to my clumsiness, NOT the product. I have one attached to each cage, and it took less than two days for both cages to put the bird bath to full use. Before I got the bird bath I had to chage their drinking water 2-3 times a day. Now the drinking water stays clean and so do the Love Birds!!! There will always be one defective product now and then...I'm sure this seller would work with you to exchage and defective product so you will be happy. So far I haven't had any problems with this sellers pet products. I would definitely recommend this product AND this seller!!

I needed some enclosed bird feeders on multiple cages, and with a little reshaping, these bird baths worked well for that purpose . See photos for tool used to make them fit in cage doors. I also positioned the clips on the sides rather than the top for a better fit also, that way, the cage doors rest on top of the clips, allowing my birds easy access. I would never use these with water—the Trixie Bird bath is much better. I got mine on eBay, where the price is better, but note that prices have gone up on them since Brexit. Those are worth every penny—one solid piece so no leaking, and they hang over the doors with no adjusting.

My birds are unfamiliar with birdbaths (they bathe under running water in my sink) so they haven't really used it as far as I know but it's been easy to clean and easy to install and it fits decently on my cage which is spherical and odd.It seems like it would keep water from making a mess

Bath won't fit my cage because the door slides up rather than opening to one side. This means the clips are too thick to fit through the door wires to attach to main cage. Without the clips there is a large gap. Only way I can use it is by removing top & attaching to inside.

It took my budgies a day before fully trying and enjoying the bird bath. It’s wonderful!

It did not line up with any of the slide-up doors in three different cages, it was too wide for all the doors and too tall or too short for the top clips . I ended up ‘macgyvering’ it and grinding/trimming the bottom plastic clip and adding a top piece to clip it to. Works great now and my birbs love it

Plastic is strong. Its a weird tint but it looks fine.Easy to install, however it was very slightly too wide for my 10cm cage window. There is a weird knub that sticks out from the main atachment clamps that was very easy to cut off ( the plastic is strong but brittle when cut). After doing so it fits great and feels secure.
