Giro Unisex Fixture Mips Cycling Helmet

I'm a recent convert over to wearing cycle helmets, having previously worn motorcycle helmets a lot. I picked this Giro Fixture helmet as it had the combination of excellent reviews, MIPS technology, brand reputation and a good price point. After 4 months of use, I'm pretty satisfied with it. It's very light on the head. There are no pinching, binding plastic parts. The buckle and strap are of good quality, and have never been uncomfortable. It's accommodated my merino scull cap in winter, and my cycling cap in summer, and is adjustable to both. The helmet is usually worn on 40-80 km cycles and has not yet become uncomfortable or felt heavy on the neck or head. It's a product of great design, and is also visually appealing.One small thing to be careful of is the external finish. Mine is matt black. Avoid handling it with oily, greasy hands if you want to keep it looking its best.

Solid build, light enough not to notice you have it on. One size fits most people comfortably. MIPS… I haven’t crashed yet, but having it makes me feel more confident. Quality helmet with decent venting from a reputable brand that doesn’t look too stupid, has a visor to keep sun and rain from your face. Great for commuting and casual light trail riding. If you ride a drip bar bike, depending on your setup you might find the visor means you have to raise your head higher, so you might want to look for a helmet without a visor, especially when in the drops to save your neck.

The under chin fastening (and more importantly release) mechanism is easy to use. The Mips rating is very good for a helmet in this price range.

So far I like this helmet. It's lighter weight than my previous one. Easier to see around. Happy that it has Mips for safety. Feels good quality. Is adjustable, so fits my small head. Jaw strap feels sturdy and is easy to open. Overall, I am happy. Only down side I can see is that there's not as much room for a pony tail!

Never really been a fan of helmets since a kid, they messed my hair and didn't look 'cool'... until I got swung around by a car and cracked my dome off the floor; lucky escape that was.Would recommend this for any parents trying to get their teen to wear something, because it looks the beez neez. Now, I have a big head as it is so this looks proportional on me; it covers my swede very well and is cool in the process. It could look unproportional on some but I suppose any helmet would in the end.So, nice form factor, very light, is MIPS tech. Best MIPS value for money at 49£,, I managed to pay 41£ so even better. Very happy! If you don't know MIPS, have a look.

It’s comfy and feels solid

It is as it claims to be: lightweight, comfortable and so on. I have worn it daily for commuting for a year and had no problems.However, the most important thing of all for a helmet is whether it does its job when the worst happens and I'm glad to say that this helmet saved my life when a car plowed into me. I'm usually too lazy to write reviews but given that I owe my life to this helmet, I felt obliged! I wouldn't be here to write the review if I had not been wearing it.Worth every penny.

Ik heb er het raden naar waarom dit een "Giro MIPS Hoofdtelefoon" wordt genoemd, want het is een fietshelm, maar hij doet zijn werk heel goed.

Helm mit extra Schutzsystem. Gute Passform auch für meinen großen Kopf. Dreh-Verschluss ist etwas fummelig. Farbe ist gut sichtbar.

Der Helm deckt ein sehr weites Größenspektrum ab und ist sehr gut einstellbar. Es fehlen ein paar kleine Finessen wie beispielsweise ein einstellbarer Visor und auch die Schlaufen um die Ohren sind fest vernäht. Aber dafür bekommt man mit diesem Helm einen preislich attraktiven und optisch ansprechenden Kopfschutz, der sich bei mir bereits bei einem schweren Sturz beim Mountainbiken bewährt hat. Der Kopf ist noch ganz (was man bei anderen, weniger geschützten Körperstellen leider nicht mehr behaupten kann). Ich kann den Helm daher uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Das ist mein erster Helm er lässr sich sehr gut auf meine Kopfgrösse einstellen und passt Perfekt. Auch ist der Helm sehr leicht und sieht recht gut aus ich würde ihn wieder kaufen

La visera perfecta, redondeada, bien orientada y no excesiva, y el cierre para el cuello es regulable con varias posiciones lo cual es muy buena idea ya que podemos ajustar la tira del cuello a nuestra medida y luego soltar fácilmente un par de posiciones del cierre para total comodidad.He comprado dos modelos casi idénticos. Este en particular me parece perfecto. Solo echo en falta una red anti insectos en los agujeros frontales. El otro modelo con letras en dorado le veo una pega al compararlo con este en cuanto al armazón interno que ajusta el casco a la cabeza. Este lo veo mejor acabado, el otro se ve más fino y más frágil. Pero veremos porque igual nos da el mismo resultado.Además me parece muy bonito y nada cabezon, esto es cuestión de gustos logicamente, y en cuanto a la seguridad confío en no tener que probarlo con mi cabeza.
