It works, but
I bought it to refresh the red jacket which lost the brightness of its colour, bleached by sun. "Racing red" sounded good, I expected "Ferrari red" colour. I put the jacket and the control piece fabric together. Control fabric was piece of old towel(cotton) in pale beige. After dyeing the coat looked pretty much the same , just a bit freshen colour. Control piece explains why. The red colour I expected not exactly what came. It's not bright red,but more rose red, pinky red, not striking colour. So the dye works, it's just not the colour I wanted.
