Was looking for new taper candle holders for set of Halloween candles. No other candle holder came close to these for a spooky, vintage look, just perfect for a haunted house!They are so nice I will keep them in my general decorations to be used year round instead of storing them away after the holidays.They seem sturdy and are in perfect condition. I may use them for candles on the dining room table through the Christmas holiday next.They are exactly as pictured, hold the candles well with no tipping tapers, and have a wide base for stability.

Nice and solid. We got it as a stage prop for Lady Macbeth to carry in the sleepwalking scene, and it had a good period look and a satisfactory weight to it. A standard candle fits it well.

The Ryocas candle holder is a well made chamberstick. It has a simple, elegant and undistracting design. This makes it a nice accent piece as well as a utilitarian item that can be used in many settings without looking out of place.The design elements are simple. The handle has a big arcing curve with a short tail at the bottom. The candle holder smoothly contours to the center. It is connected to the base, which is flat with a tapered perimeter, by a short stalk. The whole thing is finished in a matte black, giving it an understated, ungaudy appearance.The only thing I would fix is the welding. On mine, it is a little bit uneven when viewed up close. To be clear, the chamberstick is well constructed and I don't have any fear of it falling apart. This is purely an aesthetic concern, and only a minor one.Though amazon claims this is a "cast iron design," its lightness and thinness indicates that it is actually rolled steel. This isn't a hindrance to the product, just an observation.Overall, I'm happy with the product. I would definitely buy again.

This is a GREAT chamberstick! It looks better in person and offers a vintage feel but with fairly clean lines (it's not super scroll-y). The candleholder opening is a perfect size and it is very sturdy. Whenever I get wax drips on it, I just put it in the freezer for a couple hours and then the wax basically pops off. This does not happen with every metal candleholder, so I am really glad it does with this one!

Using these taper candle candleholders makes me feel like some Victorian era character. The candleholders are not overly fancy or ornate, but they are very well made and work perfectly with common size taper candles. Also, the dripped wax is very easy to remove from the candleholder's matte finish. I've very satisfied with them.

I agree with other reviewers who said this feels like a dollar store item. Mine is slightly bent at the stem, but the welds seem so flimsy I am afraid I will snap it if I try to bend it into place. My standard sizes taper seemed like a tight fit as well. It doesn't do justice to an expensive raw beeswax candle. The style is simple and classic. Better craftsmanship would have made it a 5 star item. I will use it until I can find a quality one made locally.

Really like the style and finish. The weight makes it feel like plastic wish it had more heft. Overall happy with product, it comes down to your style taste. Add a little more weight and score would increase.It could use a bottom pin to place candles on but so far its held candles well.
