UV Protection Bonnet Cap For tanning - Made in USA

I waited almost 4 months to post a review so I could be sure to give it a fair assessment. I only tan during "shorts season," and last year, without the cap, I had fire engine red lowlights in my hair. I tried to cover it the best I could but the color faded quickly and my hair was quite dry and fried looking. I use Wen and my color NEVER fades so I knew it was the tanning bed. This year I purchased the cap and I have magenta (pinkish purple) chunks in my hair. Since using the cap, my hair hasn't faded a bit nor is it dry. My hair has been as normal as when I don't tan. The cap is quite large (and I have a small head) so I did need to put in a few stitches by hand to make the elastic smaller but that took all of 5 minutes - no biggie. I can tell you that BEFORE I sewed it smaller, it slipped off my head a bit on one side the day after I had my hair colored. I went in the bed with a hot pink stripe in my hair and came out with a light, baby pink stripe on one side only where it slipped off. The other side which was covered was perfectly fine. Proof that - somehow - this cap, with all its tiny holes throughout it, works. After 4 months, I am still just as pleased that I bought it. When we spend as much money as we do to have our hair colored, $13 is worth it to keep it looking its best

Back when I tanned, this was super useful. My hair would become extremely dry and frizzy if I tanned without using the cap, and felt perfectly normal afterwards when I started using this cap. This was last year, but I doubt the material/makeup of it has changed since then. The cap stayed in perfect condition throughout months of use. It didn’t feel too loose or tight personally, and it seemed comfortably stretchy with a good hold. I can’t say I support using tanning beds in terms of health, (no judgement if you enjoy it!) but this cap definitely met its purpose. If you want to tan out in the sun you could also use this! Depends how comfortable you are with wearing things like this in public.

Ladies...I’m very happy with my purchase. I have have somewhat thick hair down to the middle of my back that I roll up into a bun to tan. I was worried about the UV rays on my fresh highlights because anything and everything makes them start to yellow in time. I never even realized there were caps just for this and I was happy to find these here. I read all the reviews and felt a little skeptical but was mostly concerned about the size. Size was perfect. I have no need to tuck the hair around my neck and face so that gave me even more room in the cap for my hair to be comfortably covered. The elastic around was not too tight or to loose and held in place my entire tanning session. If you’re reading reviews and you feel unsure, I say buy it!!! You can always send it back if you’re not totally happy. But there’s not very many products on the market for this and something to protect your hair color or high lights is better than nothing at all. I’m very pleased.

This works great. I used to use a towel to protect my color treated hair from dulling the color; but this cap works way better. I find it's better for my hair because it breathes so much better than a hand towel. Easy to put on and adjust to tuck in all my hair.

I was happy to find this, as my hair color bleaches out in the tanning bed. The UV protection in this cap does prevent any damage or fading of my hair color. However, it is sized very tight and the elastic is very tight! My hair is not thick and I wear it in a chin length bob, so it fits me. I think it might be too small if you have really thick long hair or a large head. The manufacturer definitely needs to make this cap larger.

These work great. Not only for women but for men too. I’ll just say it, it works better than a sock.
