I tried charging the device and I had a 'smily face' icon, and then I tried pairing the device with a mobile phone and I had problems. The screen went blank. I looked this up on the manufacturers' web-page and it appears to be a common problem. I waited for about one hour and the device responded with a 'smily face', but when I tried pairing the device with a mobile phone although the phone seemed to 'see' the Fitbit, the Fitbit itself just showed a 'Welcome' screen. This appears to be a common problem (just search for this on the internet, and you'll find out, like I did, to my dismay, that these devices are failing many people). When I contacted Amazon (UK) about this, I was told that the item was supplied to them via Amazon US, and that they could not issue me with a replacement functioning watch, but that I would have, isntead have to send the item to the USA, and that if I wanted to purchase another watch it would cost me more than £40 more. When I questioned this, they said that they could not help me any further. In summary, in my experience, this is a terrible item that is not functional in any way. Many others seem to also have had similar problems to me with this item. What is most disappointing, however, has been Amazon's TERRIBLE customer service, and their 'Sorry, we can't help you' attitude. Not what I would expect from them at all. Really disappointing.

Compared to my charge 2, this is no better. In fact, it's worse.Temperature and Sp02 functions don't work.Clock faces are not as customisable as the charge 2. You need to download "apps" within fitbut app, instead of just having settings options . Alarms cannot be set in app any longer . Strap connection feels weaker and less secure.Overall, disappointed.Edit: after update the charge 4 not does the Sp02 measurement. This is handy as I have sleep apnea and is good to keep eye on big changes during night. Last update also enabled smart wake alarm. Still not worth upgrade if you already have a different fitbit device.

Straight out of the box nothing worked as it should.My heart rate is only tracked sporadically, often it reads nothing.Most workouts aren't recognised.It suggested I burnt 150 calories on a 10k.The battery drains really fast, sometimes losing 20-40% in an hour.

We received the item a few days earlier than expected. But the watch doesn't work at all. Couldn't get it to come on, contacted FitBit support and they couldn't get it to work either and suggested sending it back. Now got to wait even longer for it to go back and the refund processed before purchasing again. This was an early Father's day present and he may not even get it for Father's Day now. Don't know how a brand new watch won't work straight out of the box. Fitbit support said it is faulty. Very disappointed

After searching Youtube videos I decided on this. I had one a few years ago and it fell off my wrist after a week and I lost it :-(When I received this, it fell off a few times and I thought, 'Oh no!' But, it was okay after a couple of days and hasn't fallen off since.I'm very pleased, it's excellent

The watch has arrived and straight out of the box does not charge up.Trying to contact the seller but have to wait 2 days for a response.Very poor.

I get a simplified sleep reading no matter what I do, had the same issue my previous Shitfit.

Don't buy this for GPS, it's a good watch as fitbits go. Counts steps well, sleep tracker and heart rate monitor is good but the GPS is not great. It often misses at least a KM off of a run and makes the pace slower than it really is. It's not very accurate at all. I was disappointed to be honest and could have just kept my charge 2.
