The Thermostat part # for your car should be a Stant 13006 (160°) or 13008 (180°) If your engine is old (lots of miles I'd get the cooler one)

You'll have to find the right configuration and heat range. I did find the SuperStat to be the ONLY available t-stat which was dead accurate--important with my aftermarket electronic fuel injection.

what is recommended for a 1973 F250 with 360 FE?

This fits my 1986 360LA it is listed to fit 1971 to 2002 360LA motors the LA stands for (light weight A motor) The blocks were cast with 50lb less steel.
