Absolutely adorable!
I fell in love with Little Peanut's adorable face online and I was not disappointed when she arrived. It's not all perfect. Just like many have mentioned, her hair is kind of crazy. In some of the pictures I've seen online her hair is straight, in others it's more or less curly. My Peanut's hair started out very curly, only quickly to turn matted in spots and frizzy elsewhere, and everywhere it's thin enough that her head looks a bit like a very bald man with his first set of hair transplant plugs... I wish mine had the straight hair is so I could brush it down a bit onto her forehead to make her tall forehead seem shorter and hopefully cover the very visible rooting holes around her precious face. But, a hat solves it all, and that face is worth the price! Her hands are adorable, and her feet are absolutely squeal-worthy! I hate putting socks on her feet, they're that cute. Her eyelashes were crazy long! I'm sure both the manufacturer and the seller would advice against making any alterations, but I had to trim them down. (You can see in my pictures both before and after.)And I really, really wish she wasn't so stiff... She's almost a bit over-stuffed. My Peanut (now Madilynne) kind of has a perpetual pose of looking upward and arching her back. She can't sit on my lap unless I push against her stomach with one hand and use the other hand to push her upper back forward --and even then her legs stick stiffly down. The legs are weighted but don't "dangle" one bit. If I hold her against my shoulder, either her legs stick stiffly out from my body, or her chest and face are nowhere near touching my shoulder. The "grains" in her legs and bum do nothing to make her feel like a real baby, like they easily could --all they do now is add weight to a stiff doll. Just so much wasted potential in my opinion.Same thing with her arms. They are bent at the elbow with no ability to straighten, and there is a heavy steel wire that join the arms together across the back on the inside --so if you lift one arm up, the other one moves up too. You can pose the arms to a degree by pushing or lifting them enough to bend the wire inside, but it takes enough force that you feel like you're manhandling the poor, dainty thing. After all that "complaining" she's still worth every penny. That face, those feet! Love at first sight, imperfections and all.

This baby far passed my expectations. She is perfect in every way.
I purchased "Little Peanut" for my 92 year old mother who lives in an assisted living home. I've been showing her the flyers that I get in the mail from Ashton Drake, and asking her if she would like to have one. She was afraid that at her age she would be considered foolish to "play with a doll"; however she did think that "Little Peanut" was really cute. I purchased "Little Peanut" for her and when she came we couldn't get over how adorable she is. She has more hair than the photos showed and she is absolutely beautiful. She feels like a real baby in your arms and her features are amazingly lifelike. My mom is over the moon in love with her baby girl. To boot the people who work at my mom's facility can't get over how beautiful this "Little Being" is... that's what they call her…and one nurse called my mom and asked her if she could show her to the staff at the next meeting. My mom brought her to the meeting and apparently Anna (my mom renamed her) was the talk of the meeting. People continually come to my mom's room to see her and admire her and they all pick her up and hug her.I also bought an Ashton Drake doll for my Aunt who lives in a nursing home in California. She was drawn to the Chloe doll. I purchased Chloe for her and the exact same scenario occurred at her home. The staff and her Doctors just love her too. These "Little Beings" bring so much joy to elderly women. The added bonus is I am never at a loss for birthday/Christmas presents etc. Little Peanut fits in newborn clothes and Chloe fits in 0-3 month clothes.I cannot emphasize enough what a wonderful unexpected joy these Ashton Drake dolls have added to the lives of my Aunt and mother.P.S. I purchased one for myself too…I’m hooked. Remember in the Harry Potter story where they say that the wand picks the wizard…the wizard doesn't pick the wand? I think that applies to these "Little Beings" We each have fallen in love with different babies and we each love them with our whole hearts.
