Top Collection 11.5" "The Birth of Venus Greek Goddess Statue in Marble Finish

I've been a fan of Botticelli's painting, The Birth Of Venus since I was a high school student more than fifty years ago. His masterpiece is an aesthetic triumph, and such a romantic and idealized vision of feminine perfection. This figurine based upon that vision is serenely beautiful, and mostly accurate, although the painter had Venus leaning a bit left upon the shell. The figurine depicts her standing fully upright. Her pose and the flow of her hair are faithful to the artist, and the detail and proportions of the figurine are most pleasing to the eye. I am very happy to have this replica, and I am confident that you will be more than satisfied.

This is a very attractive, well-made, quality item. It looks like marble, has good heft, and the details (carving, etc.) are truly excellent. Many times on items like this the minor features (eyes, mouth, hair, fingers) are "off" - indicting poor casting/workmanship. Not so with this statue. It is a miniature masterpiece. Very attractive. Highly recommend.

Delivery was speedy but there are several cracks in the foot and base of the statue. But it was less than $40 bucks so I guess you get what you paid for.

Design is beautiful but the material used is s***e... I wouldn't buy it again

this figurine has been elongated so her legs are skinny and out of proportion. the ankles are so thin that if ever dropped would snap

Lovely miniature

Looks just like the pictures, shopped around and this was nicely made. certificate is a little phony looking, not that it mattered. came well packaged from the company and also form the sender. stands exact measurements. looks great. would buy again, hopefully I won't have to.

It looks like a perfect reproduction of the original. It is detailed with perfect hands and toes. It looks like marble.I would say that it is the image of a beautiful woman.
