Should be a minus rating. Do not buy
Short sell by date of 31/10/2023. Very disappointed. Opened one packet which tasted and smelled awful. Took the skin off the roof of my mouth.. Amazon not allowing a return on this item nut no explanation of why not. Awful olives and if they had been bought locally would be returning them immediately. Complete waste of money.DEFINITELY DO NOT BUY

These were a very pleasant surprise.
These olives are small but fleshy and with a wonderful Smokey flavour: they would go very much better with drinks than the miserable pitted ones from jars but you could eat handfuls of them: you need a kilo at least. I’ve put a few into olive oil which makes them even better so go for it: they’re young well textured and something very different even from olives you’d buy from speciality shops. I can’t tell you what a pleasant surprise these have been, and good value too.

Going bad pretty quickly
I’ve bought those olives in April and first pack was good and tasty then the second one was tasted a little bit funky but I thought it’s just the different variety of the olives. Now I can see that the packs I’ve got left have developed some white film on them and the brine became cloudy. I’ve opened one of them and they’re tasting like a soap and have definitely gone bad. I’ve stored them in a closed dark and cold pantry so it couldn’t be because of the sun. It’s a bit of a shame as the best before date is still a few months away.

UNEDIBLE
These olives were disgusting, they had gone off, the terrible smell permeated through the house, undeterred I tried one and nearly vomited. Unfortunately there seems to be no way of returning them so all I can do is leave a bad review. DO NOT BUY.

They don’t look like olives!
The olives are so tightly packed, they’re squashed flat and the preservative smells so strong it’s off putting. They don’t taste very nice either. I won’t buy them again.

Tastes awful
Whilst I realize that I may have just been unlucky, my experience highlights a lack of taste checking by the producers at the very least. They were inedible. Tasted of melted plastic. We threw the open packet away and returned the rest for a refund. I would look elsewhere and in future I will not be ordering vacuum packed anything. Jars would be best.
