Prompt service
Bought these to replace a much loved pair which have finally lost their tread after 5 summers constant wear. I have some Whisper, but they do not offer enough support for me. Unfortunately this particular design was far too heavy and wide for my requirements, but the company refunded the money painlessly. I love Keen sandals and am now ordering a pair of Newport.

Better support than regular Keen sandals
After reading lots of reviews, I decided to risk these. I have wide, flat feet and many had said these were more narrow than your average Keen so I was worried. They are a perfect fit, however and don't pinch at all (though they do feel more snug than my other Keens). I am a 9 to a 9.5 depending on manufacturer and took the 9 in these and again a perfect fit. Additionally, they really help me avoid foot pain and back pain, since the foot bed is substantially thicker and seems a bit more contoured than their standard sandal. I use them to walk dogs through the woods and go on light hikes in the Blue Ridge area. There is less open space, so you will get less debris coming in the foot bed on hikes, which is an improvement over my other Keens. The less open space also means your feet will get hotter in the summer, but the extra support is worth it. Also, some reviews said they were terribly heavy. I don't find this to be true at all...they just feel more substantial than standard Keens, and are a tad bit "heavier" but not in a burdensome way. They did take a few walks to break in (no blisters or anything, just leg fatigue as I adjusted to extra support). All in all, a fantastic all-terrain shoe, especially for those of us with occasional plantar faciatus and a terrible lower back.*a little extra I didn't realize: the green details on the brown sandal are actually reflective, so night walks through the neighborhood with the dogs just got a little safer.

Immer wieder gerne !
Ein etwas teurerer Wandersandale, aber passt ausgezeichnet, nicht kneift, keine Blasen an den Füßen. Qualität ist super.

A sandal for orthodics
I was looking for sandlal that I could ware my orthodics in. The Arroyo has a removable insole so I took that out to put my orthodic in. With the back on the Arroyo, it holds my orthodic fine and you can hardly see it. I first tried a 9.5 because my Keen hiking boots were 9.5. But a 9 in the Arroyo ll fit better. So I would say the Arroyo run a little bigger then my Keen hikers. The sole is pretty stiff and doesn't bend much. I need to lace them up pretty good or my heel feels like it is not coming out of the shoe a little. The first time I wore them I stood in them from 8:30 am to 4:30pm. After that many hours, the stiffness of the sole felt a little uncomfortable. I had wool sox on and my feet were a little hot. One reviewer I read said you needed to were socks with the Arroyos-not go sockless. With my orthodics i planed to were at lease a small short sock. The thickness of the sock might be another factor to take in with fitness of the Arroyo and if it feels tight enough on you foot--heel. I only wish there were more colors in this model. The men's model came in a color I liked but I was afraid they would be too wide. I love Keen shoes --they look good and they last!

Great shoes but odd sizing
I've had three pairs of these shoes so far and each pair fits a bit differently. One pair fits perfectly and it's a full size smaller than what I normally wear. My favorite old pair, now completely worn out was a half size smaller than what I normally wear and I had to break the pair in - they were a skosh tight when I first started wearing them, but after a few days they were just right. I cautiously ordered this current pair at a half size smaller and they are just a bit large, but not so large that I would consider returning them. When the fit is right I can keep these shoes on all day. The arch support is terrific and I can stand in them in the kitchen while cooking and my feet feel great. I gave them four stars due to the lack in consistency of the sizing of the shoes.
