I bought it so I could tell if it was safe to go into my bathroom.
If you have a family member (like I do) a natural gas detector is a must have to safely enter the bathroom after they've been in there.

Seem to work and last
This seems to work and after having it for a while, it's still seems to be functioning. No way to know without a leak, but it's very loud when plugging in.I remove from the house to take camping and replace in the house come winter.

The plug is sideways not upright.
I couldn't plug it upright.

It works!
This handy gas detector works as advertised. It plugs into an existing electrical outlet and is ready to go right out of the packaging. A small price to pay for extra protection in your home.

DO NOT BUY-Faulty Detector -Waste of $
Only one of the 2 worked. I had to call the fire dept because the alarm was going off. I found out every outlet I’ve used it in, it goes off. Faulty, inefficient product and a waste of money if you really care about yourSafety

Worth having.
It does what it's supposed to. I checked it with an unlit propane torch, it went off loudly. There seems to be some confusion about installing these gas alarms.1. If you use natural (city) gas it needs to be installed close to the ceiling since nat gas is lighter than air and it rises to the ceiling.2. If you use propane (LPG) it needs to be plugged in close to the floor because propane is heavier than air and settles to the floor.A carbon monoxide (CO) sensor can be placed anywhere since CO is about the same weight as air so it mixes with the air.

Easy to set up and test. Very pleased with this purchase.
I ordered this for my folk's house. When it arrived, we read the instructions, installed it, tested it, and all was well. Occasionally we retest just to make sure it is working well and so far, so good. It had a good price and good reviews. Very pleased with this purchase.
