I am using these for nighttime blue light blocking. Blue light contained in white light suppresses melatonin production.I also use red lights during the day with the white lights on for 2 more reasons. Fluorescent lights, computer screens, iPads & TVs have a predominance of blue light which decreases your DHA-Omega 3 oils in your body. Natural sunshine has infra red & ultraviolet which are not in indoor lights. Even "full spectrum" have too much blue, not enough red. These red lights may help to balance that.The other reason is that IR & red lights are used in Low Level Light Therapy for healing of all kinds b/c IR & red are longer wavelengths which can penetrate your body and add energy to the mitichondrial electron transfer chain. My chiropractor uses one although his may be an expensive laser. IR is used in saunas for healing as well as heat.I have them in my bathroom toilet & shower area & in lamps in my bedroom which we use a couple hours before lights out and in my little girls room & bathroom for night lights. I also keep a couple in my suitcase for travel. I think sleep is important and this is a cheap & easy thing that may help. They are fairly easy to put on & take off when you want them to be temporary. We like red light ambiance.

These little things are awesome! They fit over any light bulb standard that I have in my house and they really change the entire Ambience of the room freakin great product great price great shipping time everything is good. They really are heat-resistant plastic, as well. After a party for my son, we forgot to turn off a light and the next morning it was cool to the touch as we pulled it off the light bulb I am glad I found these. I have since ordered some for gifts

These are GREAT and are now shining brightly on the parapets of Tovrea Castle at Carraro Heights in Phoenix, Arizona. Seen from miles around atop a hill just off the 202 Freeway, the 189 LEDs look bright red with their Moodies! This definitely beats changing out the light bulbs everytime we need a new color - and much less expensive. As an all volunteer nonprofit operating this Castle in the desert, we recommend these great little covers. Easy to change, easy to install, look really great. Next up, a set of green for spring...

They do make the bulbs look better and the room red, but I was hoping for more, can't put my finger on it, so if you buy them maybe you will love them. Great customer service, very attentive to customers.

We use them specifically in my toddlers room, we have had a red light in her room at bedtime since she was born. moodies are also very convenient for traveling as I don't have to worry about carrying a red light bulb with a potential for cracking.

So glad I discovered these in time for the Christmas holidays. They fit perfectly over my outdoor CFL lights and so easy to put on and take off when season is over.
