Maxon and Libby
I completely fell in love with the Redemption series, and when I saw that Rebel was a spinoff, I knew I would love it as well. I was NOT wrong. These are all such great characters. I loved Libby as a secondary character, but I absolutely adored her as a leading lady. She’s strong and determined and so brave. The love she feels for Maxon is intense, and you could feel how deep their emotions ran as you read their words on each page. Maxon is such a sweetheart. He’s also got enough of that bossy, caveman thing going that I found myself swooning over that man. Maxon would do anything for Libby, even if it meant sacrificing his happiness. Libby was the same way.I’m not providing spoilers, however I will say I was sporting a big ol smile at the end. Now I’m left anxiously awaiting the release of Lock in the Fall. Poor Einstein and Maverick deserve some happiness.Bonus, it was nice seeing Dare and Lily from the previous series and knowing they are still happy.

Captivating and emotional. Beautiful and flawed.
I adore Molly McAdams and everything she writes. Well, except that one thing, but she’s more than redeemed herself since then. Lyric was a beautiful love story. I fell in love with Maxon from the moment I met him, and his unwavering devotion to Libby through all her ups and downs was EVERYTHING.Lyric drew me in from the second I started reading it. I was enamored with Libby and Maxon’s dynamic and had to know how they’d come to the place they were when the book started. They both seemed so broken and confused by what had happened between them; I knew their history and the events leading to their devastation had to be fascinating.Libby and Maxon were far from perfect. They were beautifully flawed, and when they were together, those flaws only served to make their connection more poignant. The forces that kept them apart – from his music to her family and beyond – were no match for the soul-deep bond they had. My heart bled for them when they struggled to commit to one another entirely. Those moments when they were together and fully engaged in each other with no thought to the outside world? Sublime. The build-up in Lyric was intense. All the conjecture and subterfuge, never knowing exactly who was involved or why. Questioning the motivations of each and every person Libby came in contact with. It all added up to a highly charged, slow-burn suspense. I honestly didn’t even realize how tense I was each time Libby was alone until the book was almost over and I couldn’t relax my shoulders while Maxon was away for a few nights. It came on slowly, but it was done so well.If there were anything I could ask of this novel, it would be to have had more of Maxon and Libby’s history. There was plenty there to understand their relationship and how much they loved one another, but I’m greedy, and I wanted more, so much more about them when they were kids.Lyric is the first book in Molly McAdams’ Rebel series. This series is a spin-off from her Redemption series, but it’s not necessary to read those books first. They would give a better understanding of some of the side characters but don’t have much bearing on Maxon and Libby’s story. The Rebel series books are interconnected standalones. Lyric is primarily written in dual first-person perspective, narrated by Maxon and Libby, with a few chapters thrown in from a mystery figure.Molly McAdams is a wordsmith. She has an uncanny ability to make her readers fall in love with her characters from the very second they appear on page. Her stories are captivating and emotional, and always leave me wanting more of them, in any way I can get them.

Mind Blowing Rocker Mafia goodness
What did I just read?! Holy shizzle this story rocked and I just found an author that I making space on my bookshelf for her books. Eeek! This was my first read by this author and Lyric blew me away.A man with a voice who could make her heart flutter and who she’s been waiting on. A girl, from a family with questionable practices, who could bury his heart and make his soul burn. And an unknown danger that lurks in the ether.Mannnnn! 5% into this book I found myself saying, What?! I refused to put Maxon and Rebel’s(Libby) story down, I was vested from the get go. As I turned every page the hits just kept on coming. My heart was in my throat when I got the feels. My heart was in my stomach when the danger loomed. My heart simply fell in love with the characters. Rebel was just my kind of heroine: sassy, bad$ss, and full of heart. Maxon was yumminess and alpha beautifully balanced. The struggle between Maxon and Libby had me almost pulling my hair out, I’d even swear I added a couple more gray hairs! FYI at the 90% mark you’ll find yourself right along with me, yelling Noooooo! I swear I didn’t know if I could have handled a cliffhanger. LOL!Hands down this story is not to be missed. For my first reading of this author’s work, this was well worth it. Also, I might be a little poorer as I buy her other series that precedes this one. HA! Also, I freaking can’t wait for Einstein’s story!

HOW EVEN?!
”’Your lies have never tasted so true.’”Dude where do I even start with this book? WHAT A F****** ROLLERCOASTER RIDE! This was my first Molly McAdams read and SOMEONE SHOULD HAD PREPARED ME!I just can’t. There was so much in this book. Things I love in a great romance read and things I’ve experienced for the first time while reading. Holy m****! Like seriously. This book was hot and fast when it came to the love and s**, yet gritty and ruthless when it came to everything else! I threw away something I owned that creeped me the h*** out in this book! Which weird enough made the experience that much more realistic! It’s such an incredible love story between a rock star and the woman he leaves at home, but the suspense in this book is seriously K*****! (Pun freaking intended!) I had to put it down a few times but that never lasted long because this is the type of book to SUCK. YOU. IN! I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this read FOR SURE! Molly nailed it on this one and now excuse me while I go binge her entire backlist of books!
