Nice and balanced
Quite a good speakers. Had a jbl club before (budget ones) and they drilled ears with metallic trebles. These one are very neutral and balanced. Highs are nice and not intrusive but very detailed.Mids and low are without any resonance and "barrel" effect. Just smooth. They don't do bumpy bass, but as expected, there are just 6.5 inch but the sound is very balanced. One thing though, magnets are very big and strong. If you install them in the door, make sure and check if the clearance between magnet and sensor built in in the power window motor is at least 5 inch. Otherwise you might have problems with opening / closing windows. Technical note: power windows with Temic or Magnetti Marelli regulator (Renault, Citroen, etc).

Terrible sound, over priced
Having been a fan of jbl speakers all my life, was looking forward to hearing these. What a disappointment. They sound tinny, very little mid bass. Advertised as a carbon fibre cone. When you hold the speaker up to the light you can see the weave is poor. It's like having hundreds of holes in the cone. Not even sure if it is carbon fibre. Everything feels cheap. Essentially it's a Samsung speaker (harmon kardon parent company).Basket is made from plastic. For £200 you'd expect better.
