When the timer goes off does it keep reminding you until you end it? If I am outside and miss the initial alert does it remind?

No it does not, it will automatically shut off at 30 seconds on all 3 models, and stay off to preserve battery. The beeper is quite loud and you might hear it outside if you are near, but no it will shut off after 30 sec. and stay off.

Can i set the timer for seconds as well as minutes? i'll use it as a sports timer and want to set it for 2min 45 sec. will i be able to set it?

Yes, all you need to do is hit the minute button til it stops at 2 then hit the seconds button til it stops at 45. Then hit start and it will start the count down. It has an auto memory so if you hit start again (after previous count down) it will once again count down from 2min. 45 sec. over and over until you input a new setting.

Does this timer have a warning beep at 10 minutes and 5 minutes before final timer goes off?

No, it does not have a pre beep. It will go off at the exact time desired and beep for 32 seconds if the stop button is not pressed first. It will then not beep again until reset.

Can you read it in the dark?

No, you can not read it in the dark. There is no back light.

Just what I was looking for!

The eTradewinds Kitchen Timer is just what I was looking for! I like the appearance. It's easy to use, works great, and has a volume adjustment: Loud, Soft, or Mute. At 2.5 inches wide and 2.75 inches tall, it's quite small, which is fine with me. It has a magnet for mounting on a stove or other metal surface. But I prefer to use the built-in stand and place mine on the countertop. Highly recommended.

Good quality and attractive timer.

This kitchen timer replaces one we had used for years. This one is a different brand. I like it because you can set the timer without it making a beep noise every time you change an minute or second. It's easy to use. The beeper, when it does beep, is quite loud. You can hear it in another room!

Keep instructions

Don’t use this very often so I tend to forget which buttons need to be pressed to make it work properly. I like the fact that it’s relatively small and will attach by a magnet to stove or fridge.

The BEST timer ever!

This is my second purchase of this timer. So I have one by the stove, and one out on the grill. It's the best timer I've ever had. The battery lasted over a year on the original one. The digits are super large and easy to see. The buzzer is crazy loud, which I like. Buttons are large, raised rubber, and easy to press. It looks good, is high quality, and cleans up well. It has a holder for the counter and a magnet. What cook doesn't love a functional, good looking, quality kitchen gadget for every day use!
