What's Not to Love?
I'm being quite serious when I say that the moment I opened the delivered package of LEAP Lavender Bar Soap that I was enveloped by a whiff of lavender. I hadn't even actually opened the box containing the soap. If you're extremely vulnerable to scent, that may be an immediate turn-off. If, like me, you love lavender then that should tell you immediately that LEAP takes seriously the idea of putting together a clean, natural, and beautifully smelling soap. This soap is beautifully packaged - in fact, even the inside of the box is rather attractive. This particular box is quite festive and would make a great stocking stuffer, though there's not a time of the year I wouldn't be excited to receive this soap.LEAP Organics, the manufacturer, is a Certified B Corporation participating in 1% for the planet. The soap is cruelty-free. The box also indicates that LEAP is wind-powered. They use organic, fair trade shea butter to make this soap and the soap contains certified sustainable palm oil. I fell in love with this soap so quickly that I immediately looked up the company to learn more about it.I'll be the first to admit that the idea of paying more for soap is against my frugal nature, but there's just something about truly clean soap. It cleans the skin, yet you don't get that residue feeling and you don't get artificial feelings that quickly go away. This lavender soap smells great, lathers wonderfully, feels clean even while lathered, and even with my sensitive skin I've had no negative reaction to it.The soap is triple-milled and has a nice combination of ingredients. I also like, actually love, that it's not advertised gender-specific. With lavender, orange, and coconut oil, this is easily a soap that anyone can use and love.I mean, seriously. What's not to love here? The soap is a 4-ounce bar. So, we're definitely talking about a more premium product that is naturally made, has quality ingredients, and is supporting a smaller company focused not just on profit but on making the world a better place - which is a requirement of Certified B Corporations. This is definitely a "spoil me" soap and we all deserve to be spoiled. I love it and I'm definitely looking at other products offered by LEAP. I'll be a repeat customer.

Didn’t Quite Meet Expectations
From the product description and pricing, I was expecting a higher end, luxury soap. This soap didn’t quite meet my expectations. For starters, the packaging makes me think of a soap I would be taking on a hunting or camping trip. I don’t get the message being sent with the big buck predominately on the front of the box. It’s at odds with the description. The only place I’d find it fitting into my décor would be the camp. But ultimately, I’m more concerned with the actual product and not the marketing choice. The soap is a full sized bar. It is scented, but not heavily so. I can’t say I thought “lavender” when I smelled it. There’s another scent I can’t put my finger on. It may be ingredients used for the actual soap; I’m not sure. It’s not unpleasant though. I can’t say it lasts longer as stated in the description. The soap itself looks pretty plain with just their name on it. It doesn’t look any different than most of the supermarket soaps out there.I didn’t get the luxurious lathering described. It feels on the low end of lathering and I have soft water where products tend to lather more. It did cover my skin well and felt “soapy.” It also rinsed off easily. This soap also cleaned adequately. The soap did moisturize some and my skin didn’t feel excessively dry after using it.The soap seems more like a functional soap to me along the lines along the lines of typical soaps you’d get at the supermarket. It is an all natural, organic soap which may be appealing to some. Overall, it just didn’t offer me anything to justify the $8.95/bar price. I don’t hate, I don’t love it but I’ll use it.

Take The Leap
I was immediately struck by the clever packaging of the LEAP soap. I like the art and the creative use of design. This would make a fun gift for someone. It also looks good on a shelf before using. The lavender scent is strong even before opening the package. This organic soap has an impressive list of wholesome ingredients including coconut oil, shea butter, lavender oil and orange oil. The mix of ingredients works well together and gives it a wow factor when using it. It lathers nicely and leaves skin feeling soft and clean.~ Kort

decent bar
i’ve been looking for more sustainable options with my bar soaps and always look to make sure the palm oil is harvested responsibly instead of harming our rainforests. that of course will drive up the price a little but if you can afford it i recommend it. this bar uses sustainable palm oil and the box it comes in is cute. it’s also priced cheaper than other sustainable palm oil bar soaps i’ve seen. the bar itself is good and doesn’t fall apart and leaves me feeling clean but not dry.

WOW!
WOW! When this soap arrived in it's box and I opened it, there was no denying the power of the products lavender scent! It made my eyes water, but after a few day of setting in the shelf the scent became more tolerable. In the shower, the bar makes a good amount of lather and feels silky while in use. Rinses cleanly. A nice soap, after the initial odor blast!

Good natural bar soap
First thing I noticed opening the mailer was the smell (a mix of lavender and other scents) and then the picturesque box. Reminds me of something you might find in a nice lodge. The soap lathers really well and does not dry skin out. I love that it is all natural with Shea butter. I would recommend.

fun soap - mildly scented
LEAP makes such fun soaps. The packaging is certainly a big part of that, as are the assertive scents. I previously reviewed a peppermint/eucalyptus soap - I LOVED how strong that scent was - I actually carried it around, sniffing it! This soap is lavender - the scent is there but it's more subdued. I'm not sure if I would identify it as lavender if I wasn't expecting it - I do have other, more strongly scented lavender soaps. The soap itself is quite pleasant to use, it has a pretty good lather and does the job. The scent is not that strong when you are using the soap.
