Some are quite bright like green or white, lights up the whole room. I switch it to red when he's asleep, so it doesn't bother me thru our doors, since our rooms across from each other.

Bought this for my grandson who is afraid of the dark. Although this did not do the trick for him, I think this light is light enough for most kids. Colors are bright

My son loved this light for his 5th birthday and we use batteries for it, the closure does not like to stay on the light and if you press on the top for the power button it can knock the batteries out. Not very sturdy for a small child but is cute
