Volume 2 of the series Paradise Afire is to do with the induction of the Indian Armed Forces as the Indian Peace Keeping Force and how the overall shambolic approach gradually coalesced into a force that learned many hard lessons and then applied them. The no win no loss ending of the IPKF also showed that it was pulled out just when it had gained some kind of limited ascendancy over its opponents.
