Arrive in good time, well packaged, perfect condition.
I have only read the first 4 chapters but it is very helpful, well written, and I am learning a lot about Wills, Probate, and other areas of estate planning.

Comprehensive and easy to understand
Very readable and didactic even if the sitautional examples are a bit sensationistic. The content might not be comprehensive enough for just wills or other documents but as a whole its well crafted

Very well done
Bove and Langa are estate lawyers in Boston in practice together, a fact I learned having researched the authors after reading this excellent book. One hopes the authors have more writing to do in the future, as they write well and combine substantive law with humorous and memorable examples of case law to illustrate legal principles. There is much info here relating to estate planning,ie wills, power of attorney, trusts, joint ownership, etc. The writing style is engaging and clear, and you will come away with alot of useful information by the time you're done. This book is a must read prior to engaging with an attorney as the authors mention points other attorneys may miss when drawing up wills and trusts.Read it cover to cover and you'll be well on your way before sitting in front of an estate lawyer.I was really impressed at the job these two lawyers did in this book.

Lots of Good Information Buried Under a lot of Junk
This book takes too long to get to the actual content, and then buries important definitions, facts, and guidelines in between a bunch of anecdotes and jokes that are not funny. The actual typographic layout and the structure of the book hides the most useful information in the book. There is no bold typeface, no highlighting of definitions and it is sometimes difficult to skim through this to find the information for reference.

You need to read this book or something very close, puts a lot into laymans terms.
Kind of takes the mystical and makes it usable knowledge so when you talk to your lawyer. He does not have to explain everything to you on his time. Good investment.

not a replacement for lawyers
I had always wanted to start the will process since my first kid was born, which was six years ago. There is no better time than a pandemic to force you to think about it and start acting on it. Being in a pandemic also means you don't want to unnecessarily go out and meet a lot of people in shopping for an attorney. I think this book would prepare you in how to talk to an attorney with regard to your specific needs and to tell if the attorney you are interacting with is good at his/her game. This book, however, should not be a replacement for lawyers. If you really want to do it on the cheap, I guess nobody can stop you and this book may help you avoid making some mistakes that you won't even have a chance to regret. But the value I truly see in this book is that it makes you understand the whole process of setting up a will/trust and know what questions to ask the lawyers.
