Beautiful 100% Down Blanket, Twin.
Upon receiving this down blanket, I immediately opened the box. After removing the blanket from a very nice bag, I smelled the blanket and to my surprise, I couldn't smell anything. YA Hoo!! I absolutely love the rich turquoise color. (Although it's not quite as dark as the picture on my computer, it's still lovely). I then repacked it, and took it to my mom's nursing home, as it's part of her early Christmas present. At mom's, I unpacked the blanket again, to my mom's utter delight. Now, my mom is 90 years old and has Alzheimer's, and she's constantly cold. So, I paired the blanket with gorgeous flannel sheets by Laura Ashley. (Audrey). On top of her sheets I placed a new fleece VISCO SOFT fleece blanket in blush pink. Then topped everything off with her new 100% Down Turquoise Blanket. The blanket is soft to the touch, without any crinkling noise, total perfection! Her room is transformed into a welcoming haven of beauty and warmth! My mom is so very happy with her "New Room". She talks about her new beautiful down blanket constantly. Everytime I visit her, it's all she talks about, raves about, and is so thankful that it's warm, so cosy, yet lightweight. She says she just never wants to get out from under the covers. After mom having survived Covid, not being able to see her for almost a year and a half, having this turquoise down blanket brighten her room and days, brings me the greatest joy. Next? Well, I am wanting to purchase one for my own bedroom in the Extra Large King, in Turquoise, of course! Oh, and we both love the fact that the sqares holding the down are small, only about 9 inches each. Lovely!

Best SoCal Winter weight quilt
We purchase this quilt in King size near the end of August 2019. We live in southern CA between LA and San Diego and about 1/4 mile from the beach. Nights in this area of the country rarely drop below 60-65 during the Summer. This quilt is exceptionally warm and really not suited as a 'Summer" Quilt despite the description of the quilt. We have decided that it is really an excellent 3 season quilt more suitable for fall/winters/early spring in SoCal. Now to a review of the construction of the quilt.I am an experienced backpacker who owns many down products from sleeping quilts and mummy bags to down parkas and pants. This is an exceptionally well constructed quilt. The stitching is uniform and tight; the edging is rolled and stitched with a 5 thread machine which presents a really nicely finished effect around the edge of the quilt. Each square which measures a uniform 8.5" is filled with very high quality 750 fill down clusters with almost no feathers. The down is distributed uniformly over the entire quilt so there are no cold spots or lightly filled squares. These squares are baffled and not stitched through which is unusual for a quilt at this price point. This baffling allows the down to fully loft from edge to edge of each square. There have been no down or feather escapees from the quilt. IF you hold the quilt up to the light you can see how evenly the down is allocated to each square. The 100% cotton fabric is very tightly woven. I would estimate that it is at least a 700 thread count. The cotton is very soft and feels like a sateen finish. The quilt, even in a King size is very light due to the high quality down used. I was surprised by the price for a quilt of this quality. I would have thought such a quality quilt in our area of the country at one of the high end down bedding shops would go for at least $400. This is an exceptional price for one of the highest quality quilts we have ever owned. (We have 6 quilts).Bottom line: If you are looking for an exceptional buy on a high quality down quilt and are looking for a quilt that is lightweight and suitable for nights down to about 50, this is the quilt for you.

Please read my honest review
I was hesitant to buy this since there were so few reviews. But man am I glad I did! I just got it last night and I'm already in love.Just taking it out of the package was a nice experience. It comes in an extremally well made canvas bag. It's thick and stitched so well with a nice heavy zipper that moves smoothly. Even the tags are really nicely made. They are thick and have pretty gold stitching.Instantly I could tell this was going to be a high quality piece of bedding. A company that cares about packaging and uses higher end presentation is in my opion a reflection of the product inside.I unpacked it and began to examine the stitching. It has piped double stitching on the edges and is perfectly straight all the way around from what I can tell. Each box is stiched all the way through and all corners line up. The stitching looks like it will hold up over time. The down filling is evenly distributed in every box too....some might have a little more or a little less? Maybe? I held it to the light and all looked almost the same. I didn't really notice a smell, but I hung it outside on the line in the wind just in case and to help fluff it. It has good loft and was even more puffy when I woke up. It is not heavy at all but has a comforting weight to it.The outter cotton shell is so soft. Yes it crinkles a little, not too loud (but I LOVE that part) I do feel it will subside over time. This is 500 thread count and you can tell. Beware of other makers saying theirs is 1200 thread count per SQ dm....that actually means is 220 thread count. Which is way less soft and won't hold up over time. The only bad part is I did get a little warm and had to kick it off part way. It's was about 60 degrees last night. That and the price is high considering it's a light weight down comforter.DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR AND BUY THIS! It's a bit more expensive than I would have liked but so far I feel it's worth it.* I plan to write a follow up review at the end of summer or after the first/second wash to describe how it holds up.**It's been over a year and I still LOVE IT!!!! It has held up extremely well. I wash it about once a month. (I didn't have a duvet cover). And it's in the same condition as when I first bought it. It is too hot in the summer for me though so I haven't used it for a few months. I absolutely can't wait to use it again I the colder months. Also it still crinkles but I LOVE that part. It's not loud whatsoever though.
