Happy with purchase. It's sturdy and easy to use. Only down side is the phone will cover some of your screen.

Mixed first impression of this phone holder. The back part is a nice metal build, the front part looks to be a mix of plastic and metal. The back part comes with small tape strips to keep it in place, unfortunately the tape itself is too thin and does not help at all. I added small velcro strip and it hold in place, due to velcro it probably sticks out just a little more than it should though. Now that it's installed, it looks nice, until you out your phone in it. That is when you realize how much of your infotainment screen the phone now covers up. Granted, you will not be staring at the screen when driving but you definitely want to be able to see what the rear view camera is showing you. I think I may try taking off the velcro and using thicker double sided tape to see if it goes in a little more. Personally, I'm still in the fence with this item.

This product doesn't fit my 2015 Mini Cooper 4-door hardtop as well as advertised. I do not have an infotainment system, so that may be the issue. The cell phone holder easily fell out of the notched area above the stereo. The cell phone holder comes with two pieces of 3M mounting tape attached, but they were ineffective/useless. I purchased some Gorilla Mounting tape and used this to mount the cell phone holder in place. One week in and the cell phone holder has been sturdy so far. The holder is OK, but I would have considered a different cell phone holder if I knew what I know now.

Fits perfectly, and I love the Cooper Works logo. However, the adhesive is a joke. Be prepared to add more of your own. And the phone when mounted will block the top half of your backup camera screen, so don't slip your phone into the holder until you're driving forward.

In order to fit snuggly, I rolled the double sided tape into a little ball and place in each upper surface of the wings to assure a secured and tight install. Excellent material and very well made. I used a phone case so the side plastic inserts have to be removed to fit the phone plus case, which is fine with my setup.

This phone mount has great potential. The dash mount adapter is an outstanding idea.The problem comes with the phone mount itself. The base with the John Cooper Works logo protrudes out too far. My IPhone 11 with a pelican phone case won’t fit in the mount. I’m not going to take my phone out of the case just to use the phone mount.I think a better option for the phone mount portion would be a spring loaded East and West arms with very grippy rubber material.This phone mount has great potential but still needs work.

Bought this thing because I wanted something that securely mounted towards the middle of the dash - this phone holder fit the bill.The part that slides into the small space above the touchscreen is a tight fit which is perfect for making sure it doesn’t come loose.The phone slides in easily and stays in place regardless of whether you have your phone vertical or horizontal.Why only 2 stars?Because the screws that hold the arms in place which hold your phone wouldn’t tighten after I noticed they became loose. Lost a screw finally…after the return time…and basically am out $25 because I can’t find another piece to secure the phone holder to the mount. Screws are too small to find replacements. So yeah…I’d give it 1 star if the mount sucked as bad as the phone holder.
