AUXMART Upper Windshield Mounting Brackets for 52" LED Light Bar Replacement for Toyota FJ Cruiser 2007-2014 (1 Pair)

I've had multiple customers over the last couple of years ask me what's the difference between these and the light bar mounts from RESZ Fabrication. I never really had a clear answer until now - I finally purchased a set to do a comparison. I'm going to break this down into "Likes", "Dislikes".LIKES1. It positions the light bar perfectly above the windshield.DISLIKES1. These were NOT designed for a curved light bar as stated in the title and description. There is no relief bend in the mount to account for the angle of the light bar mounting location on each side. If you bolt these to a curved light bar, you are creating a tremendous amount of stress on the mount by tightening that bolt down to secure the light. Over time this will lead to stress marks and eventually break.2. These mounts are from thin 1/8" steel, not 3/16" steel like they advertise in the listing. These are extremely flimsy and allows for quite a bit of side to side movement of the light bar.3. Very little material at the end of these mounts where they mount to the light bar. Stress from vibration will eventually cause failure vertically from these bolt holes.4. The mounting points that mount to the roof rack are only bent to 90 degrees and doesn't account for the angle of the roof rack mount itself. Therefore the mount angles outwards if you're looking at them from the front of the truck.5. The spacers they provide to sit inside the holes of the roof rack itself are extremely small. They are supposed to be used to keep pressure off the roof rack mount and provide a more secure fitment. These tiny spacers do NOT provide that, which is going to create even more vibration/movement.6. The "FJ" logo sucks!BOTTOM LINE - These mounts are ticking time-bombs!! They will work for a short period of time. A little bit longer if you use a straight mount, but eventually they will fail and that light bar is going to end up on your hood.I added a few pictures to show the comparison between these and RESZ Fab mounts.

Update to my previous comments: The product is total junk. It has now been 18 months and powder coat was useless. I almost tho k it was not powder coat but just a black sharpie or paint. The bolts and the brackets have rusted to the point that they need replaced. Do not buy these as you will be wasting your money. I wash and dry my vehicle regularly as well as wax it and these brackets still rusted away in 18 months. Totally unacceptable for a product. I have replaced them with RezFab brackets that are lifetime warranty and 1000 times better which I can tell just from loom and feel.Original review: Product fits okay and light is fairly sturdy. There was no ridges or any way to get the light to not move other than making it extremely tight. The bracket is not as think as I would like to see it and I am hoping it holds up to the light and driving vibration over the years without breaking. I think these could have been made better but o problems so far. I will update this if the bracket fails but for now it will work and hope it does long term as they look good.

I had a previous pair that lasted me 2+ years and were quite solid although I did notice on these ones they used cheaper parts than my previous pair. The risers are actually significantly smaller and the spacers are IMO too small on these. I would recommend using your own spacers as these were actually so small they were going inside the holes when trying to mount so I used the risers and spacers from my previous pair. Other than that the build quality seems identical to my previous pair. I will update my review if they start to peel or I notice any poor quality flaws as I continue to use them.

Ok. Read a few reviews.1. I did cut my brackets 4in shorter using a big washer as a template.2. I used bed liner paint for another coat.3. Used my own hardware from home Depot. ..nylon washers.see if there's any more problems.UPDATE.3 years later....Rust did form.Sand down/ paint and reinstall.I like the straight bar look, although the curve does look appealing but it does the job.Considering the price a little manual labor...is free.My application does not make any noise whatsoever. I'm content. Smiling....

I mounted a 52 curved double row with this. It works and holds the led bar, but if you drive on freeways, you will feel and hear a howl/vibration from the mounts and light if you drive over 50 mph. Not a sturdy mount and should be thicker material.

Fit Factory mounting points for roof rack. It looks like the mounts bow out with a 52 inch curved light bar. The bow is equal on both sides, so I'm happy. I did add neoprene washers to ensure no leaks through the roof and purchase stainless steel bolts in lieu of the zinc plated bolts that came with the kit.

Great looking brackets and solid. Didn't give it 5 stars because there are no instructions, the replacement bolts are chrome 17/32nd that stick out and the originals are sunken black torque bolts. Does it go washer, grommet on the bracket or grommet, washer and under the bracket? Who knows, if it had instructions there would be no guessing...

these brackets are well worth buying as they are easy to install and look awesome as well as inexpensive. i have them holding a 52 inch curved light bar and they work perfect and look awesome.
