Ghostbusters: Stay Puft [Vinyl LP]

I am a huge fan of the movies,so the first time I saw this on here,I had to have.When I received the item,it was all that I expected.The outer case feels soft like a marshmallow.Then you open it up,and some awesome pictures of Stay Puft,a long with a white vinyl album with the scent of marshmallow!!!If your a fan of the movie,or a vinyl collector like myself,you should be very pleases with this!!!!

So cool - it still smells like marshmallows!!! Disappointing that there is only one track.

I like the neat posters and the packet, however it only has two songs which made it overpriced for what it is.

Ghostbusters is not only a seminal comedy film, ranking high in the annals of movie masterpieces, but for many folks in my age range it left a huge mark on our childhood. The unmistakable theme song was the figurehead of a cultural touchstone that will never be replicated (even though they seem to be trying to with another sequel.) For the true fan, for those who know every amazing and quotable line, this brand new vinyl release timed along with the 30th anniversary of the film is a collectors item worth getting shot with a proton beam for.The Ghostbusters Stay Puft Super Deluxe Edition Vinyl is all about the collectables and the novelty, not necessarily about the music. There are only two tracks on the album, which are the theme songs to the first and second movie. For me, when I think of Ghostbusters II, I don't remember the theme song as much as Bobby Brown's single, On Our Own. Yet, as I said, the music is really secondary to the incredible packaging and photographs.These limited edition records come in a gatefold sleeve that gives off just a hint of marshmallow scent, which could make your stomach rumble as long as you've never been completely covered in burnt marshmallow fluff like our intrepid heroes. You also get two 12"x12" lenticular still and one other that is 3D. My favorite is shown in the picture above on the bottom right corner, the evil Stay Puft man just waiting to devour the world.It also comes with three facial expressions for the chewy conqueror printed onto transparencies, so you can change his mood to fit your own.Another great touch is the record itself, pressed in pristine white, with the ghostbusters logo in the center. For movie nerd and pop culture junkies, having this spinning on your record player (which we know all the hipsters own now) will elevate you above the wannabe geeks.The Ghostbusters Stay Puft Super Deluxe Edition is more than a gift for a collector, it's a piece of your own childhood being placed right in your lap.

Such a disappointment....my husband got this for Christmas, and we figured it would be the whole soundtrack. $70 for two songs????? That is INSANE. Save your money!
