From a SteelSeries fan
As a big fan of SteelSeries products these headphones ended out being a disappointment as the left speaker has started to crackle to bass noises after only 6 months... I do not particularly listen to my games at a high volume and typically have the bass tuned lower to hear the mids and highs of footsteps better so when I started to hear it go bad I was pretty frustrated. I own an entire steel series setup including multiple mice over the last few years and keyboards and have only upgraded when I wanted to, never from product not functioning within a reasonable amount of time.Broken left ear muff aside the build on the headset feels great and the suspension system has been the lightest and most comfortable headset I have ever worn. I have worn these all day for work and all night for gaming with no discomfort, actually quite amazing and the first headset I have ever worn that is this comfortable.I also want to note a few things about this headset that are important:The DTX 7.1 is NOT true surround sound. It is an engine through the steel series 3 engine that takes stereo noise and adapts it. All this has ever meant to me is that I do hear things in a more 360 view, but it also makes people's voices in chat sound like they are yelling into a tin can as well because it cannot differentiate voice from SFX in game. That being said the standard stereo on the headset was more than adequate for detecting footsteps and identifying the direction in many games. Also the USB cable is wayyy too short and sometimes I found myself adjusting volume by accident with the control on the cable. If your keyboard does not have a USB port you will need to get a USB extender to keep from pulling them off your head.If I find these on sale for around $60-$80 I will be purchasing a pair again but given the fact the left speaker only lasted 6 months was highly disappointing and is by far the least amount of time I have had with a SteellSeries product...Overall these are a 4/5 set of cans... they lose the extra star from the product breaking past warranty but way before they should at 6 months...

Meh Overall
Honestly one of my least favorite headsets I have used. Let me start with my personal concerns issues.1. Material- The material this is made from is cheap plastic, or at least poorly designed. The issue I have with this is not durability. The durability has actually been really good for scenarios I have been in relating to the Cord being Yanked. I will talk more about this later. The issue is anytime I move my head, even slightly, the headset creeks. That sounds carries through all the plastic and into the ears. Like wearing a squeaky chair where when you move, you hear it. I can partially live with that. The bigger issue around this is that the Mic pics this up easily. I have adjusted sensitivity, but balancing with your voice and these creeks makes this not a great headset. This is my biggest complaint honestly.2) Cord Length: Really. This cord is way to short. I have the USB plugged into the monitor that is 2 feet in front of mee and still feels like this is stretching and if it gets caught on anything (the wire) within that range, it rips the headset off, etc. This is something simple that should fix or provide at least a USB extender.3) Sound- The sound is ok, but not great I feel. It works fine and meets the needs, but not very diverse between music and games, even with the setting adjusted and more. Have gotten better audio out of $30 headphones.4) Comfort- This is actually pretty good. Doesnt hurt over longer periods of times. I wear with glasses and no added pressure.5) Price: I think this is priced a little off from the quality and expectations out there of similar products. I would say they are not worth $100.Conclusion: I would say that I would not recommend. When you are chatting with other people in game, they can hear everything through the mic (even with optimizing sensitivity). This includes background noise, audio in ears captured by mic, and also the biggest issue is hearing your headset creek and pop as you move around, which everyone can hear.

Good budget gaming headset
I've used this headset almost daily for about a year, and it's held its course quite well. It doesn't sit on your head too tightly, the pads are comfortable, and the RGB lighting is alright. Even though it looks a bit flimsy, it has tanked every fit of anger I've had (which isn't too often, don't worry) with minimal wear. This headset works best when playing games; this is a gaming headset, after all. The 7.1 surround is really helpful in first-person shooters. I play a ton of Overwatch, and these have saved me from sneaky flankers quite a few times. It even supports plug-and-play for consoles. Plug it into a USB port on a console, and you have full headphone and mic capability. The inclusion of a mic mute switch is very nice, however I never used it much as I have a much better microphone for my PC.I do have some gripes about them, though. This headset isn't very good for just listening to music, especially if you like bass-heavy beats. The software that comes with them does have an equalizer that you can use to adjust the frequencies, but even with the lows boosted, there's still not a lot of bass. Occasionally, some frequencies will cause a grainy feedback sound in the speakers, which is very distracting when playing a game or doing homework. The cable is kinda short for my needs, so I would get a USB extension if you're using these with a desktop or a console. The volume adjuster dial attached to the cord broke for seemingly no reason, which was a bummer because that was such a useful feature. All in all, the Siberia 350 is a great PC and console gaming headset for a relatively low price, but they're not the best for listening to music.

Comfortable to wear, and excellent sound quality
I've been using these for a few months now and I am very happy with the purchase. They are comfortable to wear for extended periods and the sound quality is excellent. The long cable is also helpful.

DIsappointing performances.
I've bought that item because I read very good reviews around its sound quality and surround performance. Upon receiving the item, I noticed how well the packaging was made. It's clearly a premium item. The bargain price at Amazon (129£ instead of around 200£) was making this a very good deal. World's best wireless gaming headset the box says. I was happy.Taking the headset, I noticed it was rather a small headset, smaller than my latest one. I could make it bigger but this revealed some plasticky part that didn't look very strong. When putting it on my head, it sounded like the plastic was being under pressure. I was a bit worried of the longevity of the product. I did recall my two G930 which happened to break after 1 year of use. Alright ... worrying. The round ear did little to help with my feelings. They were definitely laying on the bottom of my ears, which obviously meant that they were not isolating me from the outside as well as I'd like.I did however plug the thing, discovered a very well made USB station from which I could configure my source and it was a very pleasant experience. The sound however didn't blow me away, and the volume was quite low compared to my usual set up (G933). I had to crank up my main volume to about 70 to 80% of its maximum to get the same volume than what I generally have at 40-45% of the max volume, and it was with the base set to the max. I could quickly understand how some sources with a low volume could turn out to be problematic. That's one of the reason why I like to have the sound set up to less than 50%, because I know I have some leeway if some sources prove to be bad.In term of surround performance, I was not impressed. Playing a few games, the voices were somewhat inaudible compared to my current set up. It did convince me that even if it was probably a great piece of headset for some users, I was not one of them, so I sent it back.

Excellent headset for the price range
I was a big fan of the SteelSeries Siberia V2 headset but the second set that I owned developed a fault where the audio was bleeding through to the microphone feed so my game was audible whenever I was using voice chat, which wasn't ideal for the other players. On a side note, in case anyone was wondering, the first Steelseries Siberia V2 that I owned was replaced by an Audio Technica ATH-A500X and ModMic 4 and went on to my fiancée. It's still working just fine. I digress. For a gaming headset in this price range it really does look to be as adaptable as it can; it comes with dual 3.5mm jacks as standard (mic + audio) and has an adapter to plug in to single-port devices, such as a mobile phone, Macbook, etc. You would, however, need a separate adapter if you need to plug it in to a smaller Xbox controller port. There is also an in-line volume control dial and a toggle switch that lets you switch the microphone on or off.In direct comparison with the V2, the 200 has a different type of plastic to it - the V2 has more of a glossy, hard(-ish) plastic, while the 200 has more of a matte finish and the plastic physically feels less solid. I am being weary of my description of the plastic here as it feels weaker but at the same time it doesn't really feel like it's going to break easily. If I had to compare it, it's kind of like the difference in texture between old (90s) Lego figures and the newest Lego. I would chalk this up to a moot point overall; it's different. I personally like the matte feel to the 200.For the audio output quality, this headset is astounding. Don't expect the sound quality to appeal to audiophiles but for us "common" folk the sound quality is excellent. When gaming or listening to music everything sounds crisp and clear. When gaming the sound effects come through clearly enough for me to appreciate the attention to details in games that go the extra step for little non-distracting sounds like the full action of a gun (rather than just a bang). There's also plenty of bass, though not too much so that it makes your head rattle. Top marks here. This is an open-backed headset so noise cancellation does not really apply for this headset; you would be able to hold a conversation with someone in the same room as you and you will be able to hear most other noises. You could crank up the volume to compensate but the open-backed aspect works both ways so if the volume is too high, others will be able to hear what you're listening to.As many review sites will tell you, gaming headsets tend to sacrifice microphone sound quality for an all-in-one solution, particularly if the audio output quality is good. This headset is no exception. However, people on the receiving end of your in-game voice chats, VOIP calls, etc, should have no problems hearing you. The microphone is definitely good enough for people to understand what you're saying, it's just not as good as microphones that are commonly used for video presentations, V-logs and the like.Overall, an exceptional headset for the price. If you're fussy about the microphone quality you could just keep the microphone retracted and use an external mic but if your main concern is for the receiving party to be able to understand everything you're saying the mic will do just fine.

My gaming has changed
I'd gone through countless reviews to find out the best wireless gaming headset that would work across the PS4 and Xbox One.Being completely honest, I gave up hope, as I hadn't really looked any further than the well known brands of Turtle Beach, Tritton and Astro. Then I started to see these gems appear, being regarded as "The Best Wireless Headphones For Gamers". I started to delve a little deeper, spotting that they worked across a plethora of platforms, including the PS4 and Xbox One.Their price however was very eye watering, so due consideration had to be taken before purchasing. They were however, worth every penny.I won't go through the process of setting them up (which is very quick and simple), but once set up, these do sound IMMENSE. With its built in 7.1 surround sound, you do certainly get the full 'Home Cinema' experience, perched on your ears plus the benefit of not disturbing the entire neighbourhood too! The functionality of these headphones is very clever too. There is a clicker wheel based on the top of the right ear cup, which when scrolled, increases or decreases the master volume. When clicked, you begin to operate the funky little LED screen on the dinky little transmitter (which is ever so slightly bigger than a packet of cigarettes). You have several options on the transmitter; You can switch between increasing game or chat volume, switching between the different audio modes such as 'Immersion', 'Performance' etc, and changing the different profiles which can set up for yourself to make different scenarios a breeze to change to. The transmitter itself also has a very nice feature, in that it charges the spare battery (included). You simply slide the battery inside and it'll charge whilst you play. The battery (when being used) is stored in the earcup, which can be simply removed by twisting the plastic cover plate off.To the headset itself and it is very comfortable indeed, with deep cushioned earcups, these certainly don't give your head a 'clamped' feel and the cushioned ridge above, makes long haul gaming a pleasure. The microphone, which I personally find the most interesting little feature, is retractable inside the left earcup. Simply pull out and "Viola!" you have a microphone! Not using chat, simply tuck away for convenience! Brilliant! Another cool feature, is under the right hand cup, you have your power button, but also a mute button, when this is pressed, the tip of the retractable microphone turns a very cool red, which after a while slowly blinks. To the chat itself and this worked perfectly, there was no known hissing or crackling from the other end and as was the same my end. Note: If you plan to use this headset with the Xbox One, you MUST buy a Chat Adaptor for your controller, if you wish to use the chat feature (Not sure how it works with the new 3.5mm controllers). To summarize, these headsets are certainly expensive, there's no denying that. But if like myself, you have multiple platforms and only want one premium headset to use on all, then this is certainly a must buy.Pros:- Excellent sound quality, with a wide variety of pre-set equalizer levels.- Works across multiple platforms.- Very comfortable.- Excellent battery life (Probably not as long as the stated 20 hours).Cons:- Price- Only one optical port (I would definitely recommend a Optical Audio Splitter, they work a treat).

Save your £££s, it's well worth it!
I purchased this headset about a week ago to replace my 2 year old SteelSeries 5H wired headset and I am very pleased with the performance so far. I am not audiophile by any means and mainly use it for gaming and watching series, it seems to be perfectly suited to those tasks. In summary, I can thoroughly recommend this product despite the expensive price, it is well worth the investment if you are an active gamer to whom high fidelity sound is as important as beautiful graphics. Some detailed observations below:From the start this product felt very high quality and easy to use; all of the cables are provided to interface with PC (USB/optical) and various consoles or TV. The manufacturer recommends to use the optical input for any PC sound cards that support it in order to benefit from the virtual Dolby surround sound. The sound quality is much better than my previous headset and the wireless signal seems to be quite strong, as I can even walk into the next room and not notice any deterioration in the quality. Other reviewers have complained about some background noise, though I have not noticed this to date with my specimen (this was my biggest worry on purchasing this product). I almost prefer to use this headset over my PC speakers (Bose Companion 5) most of the time, so that says something! So far I have only used the retractable microphone for a few Skype calls and it worked fine. The battery life is around 10 hours of use and you always have one battery charging in the base station so there is never any downtime, this is very well implemented compared to other battery supported headphones I have owned (e.g. Bose Quiet Comfort 15).The ear cups are just large enough for my [I believe] normal-sized ears and wear comfortably even for extended 4-5 hour gaming sessions.
