How Do We Relationship?, Vol. 3 (3)

Saeko's issues and Miwa's past
How Do We Relationship? is proving quite the contrast to another yuri series Our Teachers Are Dating!. The latter has a sweet, gentle feel to it. How Do We Relationship? tends more to the intense and our characters are troubled. I can easily recommend both series, just keep in mind they are strong in different ways. This volume shows Saeko has serious problems with intimacy but doesn't want to discuss them with her girlfriend Miwa (Saeko, Our Teachers Are Dating!'s protagonists Terano and Hayama might seem fluffy but they already figured out the only way their relationship can work is by trusting and talking to each other). Meanwhile, Miwa decides to attend a high school reunion and she meets up with Shiho, an older girl who was her first major crush. Much like Saeko, Shiho had a troubled past. To make things more interesting, she seems to have strong feelings for Miwa and that looks like it will be Volume 4's focus. How Do We Relationship? continues gripping a reader with both strong characters and stories.

Wow, lots of intense stuff this issue!
We get a glimpse of Saeko's youth, and we get a flashback story about Miwa's first unrequited (? Or is it?) Love. Saeko still is having issues sexually, and it's becoming a problem between her and Miwa. It seems she's got MAJOR skeletons in her closet! It's almost alluded to, a male figure is referenced, but we get no further details. There's still a lot Saeko isn't able to talk about. Ooh, this girl is really hurting BAD! She needs professional help, before she breaks Miwa's heart! Then later, Miwa has decided to go to her high school reunion. Her first love, Shiho, is there. She spends the whole night reminiscing with Miwa, keeps getting her alone, and makes a number of comments that insinuate that maybe Miwa's first love wasn't as one-sided as she thought it was. Now, at the end of the night, Miwa has told none of the girls, including Shiho, that she is gay and has a girlfriend. Then suddenly,, Shiho finally comes straight out with it, and we realize that Miwa is going to be tempted like she never has before. Why now? After all this time? What is Shiho up to? Especially since she basically ghosted Miwa for several years... Let's hope none of this gets back to Saeko, she's already insecure too much as it is...

Easily Relatable
I enjoy a lot of yuri manga and anime but ones featuring university age women aren't nearly as common so I was eager to try "How do we realtionship". Even from the beginning, we have been presented with a completely believable and relatable pair of ladies. Saeko is the extrovert, life of the party who takes charge in the bedroom, though now we know it's only to mask deep seated fear of intimacy which may have been with her for years (youth trauma perhaps). Meanwhile, shy Miwa has found new freedom in being gay but she still struggles with coming out to her Mom and with the return to her life of the girl she crushed on in school. Will Miwa and Saeko be able to open up to each other before their love falls apart?

Ah! I can't wait to see where this is headed! I like saeko and miwa together, but I'd be okay with the other options for them as well. Hurry volume 4, I need to know!
