Drink of the gods
I consider myself very lucky, I am a degenerate caffeine addict, and this is a very costly habit. I walked out of a $7/day cappuccino habit to brewing my own coffee, which was slightly cheaper. When I discovered pods, I tried every premium brand I could find, but none really pleased me.Then I ran into the Senseo Douwe Egberts Dark Roast Coffee Pods at Target. Not only they were exactly what I wanted, but they cost half as much as my next candidate. The problem: limited availability, you never find more than one or two bags at Target, and it is not sold anywhere else here. Since my wife works at Target she got used to buy most of their allocation right off the shelf, to avoid the risk of running out of my stash and having to deal with her degenerate caffeine addicted husband going through withdrawal.I was very happy to find these here in Amazon, even happier when I noticed that if I bought enough of them, the cost is identical to what I pay here, and the shipping is free. The day I received my first order I held in my hands more of these pods than what was available for sale at the whole COUNTY that day. Oh yeah.I have done bulk orders through Amazon twice, and I kept buying from Target. Amazon wins. Timed properly I will never have to worry about running out of my supply, and there is even an option to have it as a subscription, so I would not even have to bother with making the order every month or so.This is really good stuff, some people find it bitter, but to me it tastes just right. Also, it helps me keep it down to 3-4 cups a day. If I was drinking drip coffee I would be drinking 5-6 cups a day easily.

Excellent Coffee - what a shame they don't make the machine anymore
It's amazingly stupid that Senseo discontinued their incredible coffee maker - I had four of them, and they all eventually had issues - I was able to get them to replace my Supreme model, twice but after the second failure I just gave up, threw in the towel and bought a Keurig and a coffee frother for my cream - a lot of work and the coffee is not really as good but adequate. The last machine they sent me as a replacement was obviously several years old as the included coffee was expired by a year - so I put it in the garage and forgot about it; cleaning out the garage I rediscovered it and my wife said "put it on eBay and see what it brings..." so I did - sold it for $200! (original price was $129 first time I purchased) - what message does that send? Well, I checked and seems lots and lots of "new in box" Senseo's went for $200, one went for $249! SO THERE IS A MARKET and a DEMAND. How Senseo screwed this up, well, I know how - they took the coffee off the market while they sold that coffee division to some other company (keeping the name) and it took about six or more months for it to resurface on Amazon, meanwhile the coffee went from less than $4 for 18 pods to more than double that (again, DEMAND!) But it's not the same coffee, trust me - that put the nail in their coffin. So now I'm a Keurig slave, would give anything to have Senseo back in my life but apparently money is far more important to them than satisfied customers who ARE WILLING TO PAY. Sad, but oh so true. Bye bye Senseo, we will miss you.

Good product and packaging.
I get the vast majority of my Senseo from a private operation out of Ohio (support the small business!). However, on some rare occassions, their website indicates low or no stock of a type I need. Thats when I go to Amazon, and was the case in this purchase. I was impressed with the cost factor, packaging, and condition of the coffee bags upon arrival. I still support my "local" guy - but I was very pleased with this particular transaction.

Good coffee
Just as ordered. So glad we can still get Senseo pods for our Senseo that we've had for years. Love the coffee!

beware
I have had this product for years and just learned a few months ago that Amazon had it and so ordered. The container that it comes in, lined on inside with foil, is where you should keep it. When I opened and removed the pods they lose much flavor and I know that from personal experience. The last package of 16 that I opened did not open correctly and it tore. I put the remaining pods in a sealed plastic container. I make coffee every morning and used the rest from that container but after about 5 days the two cups that it made had no flavor at all and this had never happened before when I kept it in the original container.

Finally!!!Fresh and delicious tasting Senseo coffee!
I ordered this Senseo coffee before but a bigger count per bag and the quality was terrible because the coffee tasted like cigarettes ashes. THIS product is amazing! This is from the German market because it’s all labeled in German and not Dutch. I think the smaller count per bag is better for freshness once opened. That is the good quality I remember when I lived in Germany.

Great cup of coffee
The best coffee. Easy and quick to make with the Senseo coffee maker. It’s as good as coffee shops without going out of the house.

Delicious and good value
I have been using Senseo machines since they were first available for sale in the United States. Senseo pods kind of disappeared from the grocery shelves when the Keurig thing came out. And then they were quite expensive if you tried to order them from Saralee, who was the distributor at that time. I switched to Melitta pods probably 10 years ago but now they’ve gotten so expensive for their dark roast. Finding this vendor and this particular strong pod… I am delighted with my purchase!
