I just got mine, used it twice and there are spots on the metal part on the inside. Is that normal??

Yes, that is normal. Probably because you used tap water. The spots are mineral deposits. It is best to brew with filtered water. The spots can be removed if you brew 1 part water 1 part vinegar.
