I love how Nick and Charlie have such a supportive relationship and always seem to be there for each other. I would highly recommend this book. Alice Oseman is truly an amazing writer ❤️.

I ended up reading this graphic novel series because I came across the series on Netflix. I thought it would be a good series for my lil to read as they are in Jr. High. They told me a friend of theirs had read the entire series and really liked it. So I let them download the kindle app and off we went. I'm up to the 4th book on loan from library. They're finishing it tomorrow. Since the next one isn't available on digital loan from any of the places we use will be renting the book from the library. Can't wait to finish the series looking forward to the next set on Netflix. I'm like that it's more real life than most books I've read in the teenage genre or young adults section. My kids all have people in their lives that are he/him, she/her, & they/them. People that come from all walks of life, race, religion, & sexulaity. People who deal with different mental, emotional or physical health issues. This series helps bring this to life in their world. Our world is changing. Issues that used to be "not talked about" are now in the forefront as they should be.

I'm pretty much devouring this series and HEARTSTOPPER VOL 3 makes for a great addition. Charlie and Nick are officially dating but haven't come out to their friends yet. But a school trip to Paris provides them the opportunity to learn more about each other, both the happy and the sad. There are some heavier topics addressed in this volume and they're not fully explored or resolved (since the story isn't over) but I liked that Oseman has her characters at least talking about their struggles and starting to reach out. I also enjoyed seeing the relationships between Tara and Darcy, Tao and Elle, and even the two teachers chaperoning the trip.

Every book in this series is incredible. They are fast reads with a comic/graphic novel layout, and these characters are so supportive and wholesome. I never thought “wholesome” would be what I look for, but it’s been an amazing counter to all the bonkers stuff in the world. I’d recommend these books to anyone!

It's been a really enjoyable series. The art and panels work so well, it really makes everything feel as if you're floating along on a cloud with these two young people in love for the first time. The dialogue feels so genuine, especially the cute inside jokes. It almost feels like listening in to a private romantic conversation, but it feels so real that my heart soars with the characters. As with the previous volumes, the story does a great job of introducing difficult subjects and dealing with them in realistic and helpful ways that actually act as good examples for teens navigating the confusing process of a first relationship and their unique experience. The author really writes these characters like she knows them. It is just so cute and romantic. I'm excited to watch the new show, but it's hard to imagine it can live up to the comic. This story was made for this medium.

It is so wonderful to see a gay love story be handled as wholesomely and tenderly as this novel. This book is pure joy. This would have been a game-changer for me 10 years ago, I am elated that teens and adults today can grow up with something like this. A lot of queer novels tend to talk about dark topics: HIV, homophobic parents, drugs, ostracization etc. It's probably because the people writing and producing the content were young during an era when it was tougher to be queer than now. Heartstopper does not shy away from the tough issues but always the main theme is a loving relationship! A tender and beautiful romance between two boys. I would have loved this during my high school days. Get the books! they are a quick read filled with beautiful comic like drawings and then see the show on Netflix!

“Even if things are harder when people know about us, we'll be okay, because we've got each other.” Le tome 3 est à la hauteur des deux autres, si ce n'est plus. Les messages qui y sont véhiculés, l'évolution de la vie des personnages, leur construction psychologique qui continue de s'approfondir progressivement. Et pas uniquement pour Nick & Charlie, mais aussi pour Tao et Elle ou encore Tara et Darcy, m'a maintenu captivé par l'univers et m'a donné envie d'en savoir toujours plus, d'en avoir toujours plus. Je n'étais jamais rassasié, j'avais besoin de toujours plus de page sur ces personnages qui sont devenus comme une part de moi-même. L'histoire prend une tournure un peu plus intrigante, sérieuse et dure au fur et à mesure que Nick et Charlie rencontrent de nouvelles problématiques. Leur histoire s'intensifie et devient plus mature au fur et à mesure qu'ils grandissent et j'ai adoré ça. Les voir grandir et évoluer ensemble est passionnant. Le tout, sans négliger le développement de la vie et des relations des autres personnages. Quant au duo Mr.Farouk/Mr. Ajayi, je suis absolument fan de leur dynamique, ils sont si mimis.

It’s so heartwarming and such an incredibly beautiful book! The book series itself is so good and I’ve cried flood’s reading through it💗💗 It’s starting to feature kinda dark subjects now which is good and all but maybe not so much when it comes my mental happiness haha! 😅💚💛🧡 it did arrive damaged and so did the one I got after returning the first one but I’ll live with that because I really want tho books!

Lovely to see Nick’s and Charlie’s journey develop like this; their trust in each other building, their struggles being said out loud and their connection tightening. This trip to Paris was so much fun to read, and getting to see more of the other character was an added pleasure. I can’t wait to see how this part of the story gets translated into the tv show. I’m ever so thankful to Alice Oseman for putting this amazing tale out to the world. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
