The only place that was the correct direction was our boat house. We had seen a bat there before and hoped it would work. 6 weeks later we are landlords!We didn't do anything else except hang them as directions said. Very pleased!

The folks at Whitehorse make a fine product. I come from a family of wood workers..and we all agree this is a well constructed unit that is very considerate to the needs of bats...In addition to that, Whitehorse assists you with a lot of solid information to get your bat house put in the most appropriate spot of your property. I put mine under the Martin house, which currently has a family of Eastern Bluebirds in it...so far, I haven't witnessed any bat activity...however, as per Whitehorse information, it is in a prime location, so I suspect it won't be long!

Brown colored bat house is peeling paint already but occupied, so left it alone. I will take it down this winter and paint again. I painted over the other I ordered with black, as it faces East and not South. Nobody in there yet though. A good model . Houses seems very sturdy and I love the locking clean-out door.

"Love" the Bat House BUT the dang instructions that were on the box were covered w/the "sticky shipping label!" We finally figured it out after much time gently removing the label & deciphering a few words at a time. As a lover of all creatures, it was worth the effort however, as a previous shop owner, plz place it in an outer box for shipping and/or include a printed instruction paper tucked inside. Just a suggestion, otherwise a FIVE star. Patty & Mike

We just re sided our house and the current bat house I had was 20+ years old, so it needed to be replaced. I shopped around a lot and finally settled on this one. I am super happy with the construction and durability of this bat house. And it blends in nicely with my new darker siding.

Our bat house is finally up!My spouse created a permanent stand and affixed it securely on the property away from the house, a good 25 feet above ground level with 6 - 10 hours of sunlight as we needed the East/South face for installation. We hope that the bats find it to start micro-managing mosquitos before they fly away to hibernate for the winter. We will know once we find poop evidence in the planter below it.We saw someone local making bat houses, however the quality made us do a bit of research and we settled on the 4 chamber bat house by Whitehorse. The quality is quite good and the installation was a breeze. All parts were included.

Good quality and looks really good too. Now just have to wait and see if the the bats like it.

The media could not be loaded.  It is a little bit flimsy feeling. To be completely fair, this is my very first bathhouse purchase, but I'm just a little disappointed. We have a really bad mosquito problem here and I can't afford waiting to return this (and I don't even know if this is even a big enough problem to bother returning it? I didn't know what to expect except not flimsiness for that price I guess). My dog is strangely terrified of mosquitoes and swatters and zappers scare him to, so we're trying all avenues, another reason why we cannot bother with returning. We'll hang it as instructed and hope for the best, I just hope no predators will be able to get to them with that hinge, or even the wind, I hope the wind doesn't swing it open.

Great product - put together well - came sturdy - no missing pieces. had to give it a quick wipe down for paint/ caulking residue but otherwise perfect.see their website for more info, they will provide what you need to know about the bats and the product.going to put it up for them for the winter - Will check back with how the bats like it
