This least complicated solution to changing my 30 gallon aquarium water is the best I've tried. Worked right out of the box, in fact, it worked well... You'll want to monitor it, it siphons water fast. And I love the end unit that keeps gravel in the aquarium. Worth the money, works well, saves time and effort.

Love this siphon! I have tried quite a few types of water siphons for my tanks and am happy to say I have found the one that works for me. This siphon works easily and simply. All you do is squeeze the bulb and water will almost effortless move from tank to bucket. With that said, there are a few things you have to take into consideration. First: The outflow end of the siphon tube is short so you will need a clip in order to keep that part of the hose from spilling out of your bucket. Trust me, a visit to the dollar store will come in very handy. Second: There is no true pre-filter to the intake end. The intake end is quite large so if you have fry or nano fish, in order to protect them from being sucked up and out, get a pair of knee high pantyhose and tie one to the intake end with a rubber band. Again, trust me - don't risk your aqua buddies being lost. It doesn't have to be pantyhose, but you get the idea. You will need some sort of fine mesh that you can wrap around the nose of the siphon. Overall, the price of under $10 and how easily it works and is amendable. You really can't go wrong with this siphon. Finally, this is easy to take apart for cleaning. Worked just how I expected it to work a simple syphon with a wide basin and semi- filter ( plastic with holes) that keep the rocks in my turtles cage there even though I drained the water out. The product has thus far after 1 use worked fine

Feel this is the Best purchase and price wworthy I bought in a Long time This syphon is a game changer.Hesitated for the last year, 1. thought the stones would clog or get sucked up, not a problem-(like a plastic filter on bottom)...if a couple do they fall when your taking it out-so watch your fish are out of the way. I move the stone a little and place it under , Surprised how fast the dirty water from the bottom came out.. not dirtying the rest of the tank, youll learn you can adjust how long to keep it in. 2. I can now do an easy quick small water change for clean water without fighting as I use to on removing my fish, knowing they are safe. ( careful if you have very small nosey fish )This is a Real Time Saver

Did not work as well as some of the other ones I have tried.

It does the work pretty well. Simple to use. The suction does remove the loose debris between the stones on the floor.

It's not strong enough to take algea off the rocks or fake plants.

user friendly and gets the job done. it is a little short though
