I've tried about everything know to mankind to alleviate my Achilles tendonitis and plantar fascistis including about ten different inserts, 3D mapped inserts, compression wraps, chiropractic, PT, and medication. Nothing was helping, so I decided to buy these shoes in a last-ditch effort to avoid having laser surgery. They are an absolute miracle!! I can walk without limping, my feet aren't screaming all day, my heels are no longer on fire, and I can stand for long periods of time without the excruciating pain I used to have. While I still have some slight pain in my heel, it's tolerable now.What a relief!

***Update!***About a month ago I noticed that the heel of the right foot was starting to bubble at the back. This bubble grew quite a bit and finaly ripped this last week. I have a large flap of sole that catches every time I take a step now. I have never had this happen in any other pair of shoes that I have owned, useless vibram soled or not. As a former figure skater I was able to deal with how dangerously slippy these shoes where on wet tile and greasy kitchen floor at my work. But to have a pair of shoes from a brand that are so well known for their longevity start to fall apart on me in half a year is unacceptable. Expecialy as I have been a repeat customer and all of my past pairs have been forcably retired after a year and a half (soles where still good but a few holes in the toes)Note that not only is there a gaping hole, the separation also extends further along under the sole.I really wish I could review the shoe body and the sole separately. The fit is amazing and I like the updated take on the old Sabrina style. For this I give it a solid 5 stars.Unfortunately I am forced to give only one as it does not perform the task it was purchased for. I have been a loyal buyer of the old Sabrina style shoe for use at the restaurant for the past couple years (a pair a year for three years) and they where phonominal. The sole never slipped on the kitchen floors until they where extremely worn down. But the soles they have on this pair are complete garbage. They stick horribly on the carpet making me trip constantly, and on any tile or kitchen floor if there is the slightest drop of water it's like walking across a ice rink in soap covered shoes. They seem to have used an outside source for their soles as they say vibram in yellow. I have not seen this on their shoes before. I was hoping they would work better as I wore them in but it's been a few weeks and nothing. I am highly disappointed in their performance, and they are a safety hazard. I have been a big fan of Danscos tennis style shoes for their durribility, but unfortunately if they keep using these crap soles I will have to find a new brand to buy from.

I wear a size 11 narrow but decided to buy this sneaker in their largest size 42 EU (which they size as 11.5-12). They just fit so I decided to pack backup shoes while traveling through the UK for 3 weeks. But I wore these shoes every single day & they were amazing! They felt a bit stiff at first, I had to wriggle my feet into them but the support!! Never had any pain from a fallen arch in my left foot, the support was the best. It rained, it snowed, I walked on cobblestone streets & across frozen puddles. I hiked mountains & climbed endless stairs... a hike one day up a long, muddy trail and never were my feet wet or actually cold. I just wiped the caked mud off with wet paper towels & wore the sneakers again the next day. The all black color enabled me to wear them out to dinner & pubs, they didn't look too "sneaker-y". Everyday I swore "I'm gonna write a review when I get back" because I have never traveled with an all around reliable shoe. So here it is....no complaints!

Since developing plantar fasciitis in recent weeks, I've found these are the ONLY shoes I can wear that relieve the pain. Some days I don't feel any pain at all, until late in the day when my feet are tired. I have a desk job, but as anyone who has plantar fasciitis knows, sitting/resting can cause the pain to worsen or flare up. Wearing my Dansko Paisley sneakers is the only way to get through the day without pain.This pair is my second, ordered when the plantar fasciitis started up, so I have a pair to alternate with my current Dansko sneakers, which are the black ones. Lovely navy color, to change up the energy -- I love it!Also, the Dansko company is stellar: I messaged them to find out where to purchase replacement insoles for my older pair of these shoes, and they asked me for my name and address so they could send me a new pair of insolves free of charge! Really, really love Danskos!

This is the 4th or 5th pair of shoes i have bought this year, in my quest for a work shoe that doesn't leave me crippled in pain after half a day. I have been very happy with this dansko from end of july untill today. After 3 months of daily wear, working outdoors (gardening) the upper has begun to separate from the sole in front around toe area of both shoes. If you have foot problems this shoe is very accommodating and would probably be fine for a less active lifestyle. Meanwhile, i encourage dansko to make a product that can compete to a more outdoorsy demographic, because the many keen, merrell and ahno shoes i have worn do not offer the support and shock absorption of these dansko. I am aggrieved to see them come apart, given the very short time of wear and the premium price. Still, i would pay even more for this level of support paired with a durable upper. The size 38 fit was spot on for my us 8 foot; to accommodate thicker socks or roomier fit, you might consider going up.

Dansko, is a true to size walking shoe. They are the best I have owned. I walk my dog five miles every morning and these shoes give you great support, very comfortable heal cushion and balance, fantastic traction on any terrain. They arrive a bit stiff at first, but within a couple of walks they mold to bend with your own stride. I really like that! Other shoes make your feet sweat. These handle hard walking up and down hills and protect you from hard impact. I'm 55 yrs old and I walk everywhere. These are my third pair.

These shoes are AMAZING!!! I have wide feet, so these are a bit tight width wise, but i expect them to stretch, so im not worried. I only wore these shoes at work, not outside for the first 3 weeks. The first day, a muscle in my left butt was sore. The second day my left knee and ankle hurt. The third day i had no pain except for the hard tongues of the shoes. The next week, the second day my left knee and left ankle hurt again, the third day all was fine. I figure my left side was weak and these shoes were strengthening it up. My left knee and ankle stopped hurting when i wore these shoes outside because i was wearing them everyday then. I work in a school, so cement floors. I work in pre-k so i kneel, bend over, sit on the floor, sit on small chairs, walk and stand. My back doesn’t hurt, neither of my knees hurt, and i have been wearing them for over a month now. My physio person looked at them and said they had alot of support in them. The only times both my knees hurt is when i wear my old clark shoes that have no support in them now. I have NO pain in my dansko shoes now. My body just had to get used to them. The tongue on these shoes don’t move, which doesn’t matter to me. These shoes have high arches but they are soft like the rest of the insole. When i stood for too long my feet would burn, my physio person said thats because my feet just needed to adjust to the arches. My feet don’t burn as much anymore as they adjust. These shoes are worth the money!!!!!!! When these shoes wear out i am SO buying dansko again!!!!!

Dansko shoes are the only shoes I wear. I find that I don’t need to insert my orthotics in Dansko shoes. I’m so happy with the fit and comfort of these runners. They look great with or without socks. There is ample room in the toe box. I have not yet worn them out in the rain but it is good to know that these are waterproof. I got the navy and may buy another pair in a different colour. This is a great quality shoe and well worth the price. I wear size 36 and these fit perfectly.

I have work Dansko brand of shoes since 2010. Both of my feet suffered from planter fasciitis. I can walk all day on cement with Dansko shoes. These runners are so comfortable. They do not even need to be broken in as they are very comfortable. They arrived in a timely manner. I highly recommend these runners. I have flat arches so I need a shoe with arch support. I walk each day with our dog and my feet and legs do notAche or get tired. I am glad I bought them.

I am so incredibly impressed with these shoes. I have an issue with my big toe joint and it was so painful. These showed have saved my active life style. They are beyond comfortable and they don’t hurt my toe when I walk. A dream come true. Love them!

These fit great and don't narrow too fast around the toes. Good support. I have walked many miles in them and they were comfortable right away. I am ordering another pair in a different colour. Usually a size 38, ordered 7.5/8 and they are comfy without adding my orthotics.
