ShowerShroom SHSULT755 Ultra Revolutionary Shower Hair Catcher Drain Protector, No Size, Stainless

I was skeptical about this device, but after using it for a few weeks, I'm a convert. It securely captures 2x - 3x more hair than my original, gridded drain cover, yet it doesn't restrict water flow to the drain. And it lies so flush to the floor that it hasn't posed a tripping hazard, or become unseated when I've accidentally nudged it. (I had been concerned that, since it doesn't screw into place like my original cover, it would be easily knocked out of place, but it's so low-profile and because it has the well for the mushroom that keeps it in the drain, it doesn't.) Very easy to clean out the hair - just lift the little mushroom. I used to collect the hair from my original cover after every shower, and initially did that with this device, but now can do it just 1x/wk. (I could wait even longer, but choose to keep on a regular schedule 😬)

I’ve been using this drain protector in the bathtub and it has been very helpful for me. Before using it, the tub would often get clogged because my wife and daughter wash their hair there and a lot of hair falls into the drain. Since I started using this product, I haven’t had any clogging issues. What I appreciate the most is how easy it is to remove the trapped hair. The center piece collects the hair, and you can lift it out without taking anything apart. Another thing I liked is that there is no installation required just take it out of the packaging, place it on the drain, and it works. In my personal experience, it has been practical, easy to maintain, and has given me good results in everyday use. I’m very satisfied with it.

This is the best shower drain hair catcher I’ve used. It fits perfectly and installs in seconds with no tools. The stainless steel feels sturdy and high quality, and it catches a lot of hair without slowing down the water flow. Cleaning is quick and easy, and it stays in place during showers. After weeks of use, it still looks brand new. Highly recommend if you want to prevent clogged drains.

Works well but I do wish there was something to anchor it to drain itself. It will rise with the water if clogged. I do notice that it catches hair well and is easy to clean

This has been a lifesaver for my drains! I shed a lot on my own and I recently adopted a dog who gets a bath in the tub - this has saved me from having what I'd imagine are large clogs going down the drain. Simple to install, seems to be mold resistant, lightweight and easily removed from the drain when needed.

This is the GOAT of all shower drain hair catchers. I’m seriously thinking about buying one for all of my friends. I’ve tried so many and this is the cleanest looking and easiest to use of them all. Great value for the money.

I am not an expert on showers or plumbing by any means, but I am quite sure that the shower drain in my apartment is above average size. This has made it super difficult to find a drain catcher/strainer that fits nicely and prevents my very long hair from going down the drain and clogging it. Unfortunately, this shower shroom is just too small for my drain- it does not stay put nor prevents hair and other items to pass under the sides of it. While it helps a little bit in filtering large items, I find myself getting more annoyed with the upkeep of hair removal from my drain, which is the point of my purchase of this product. Again, it very well could be just a flaw in the design of the shower, but I do wish this product was a bit more useful; I had high hopes for this one as I swear by other Shroom products.

Update- while this didn’t work for my drain, customer service was great. Unless the hair is dropped directly on top of the cover, it just slides under the sides so it really doesn’t catch a lot of hair unfortunately.

Not sure if this is a UK plumbing issue - this cover sits over the drain hole easily enough in my walk-in shower (not securely, but it stayed in place) but unfortunately it doesn't allow for proper water drainage, so within a couple of days I had a horrible sewage smell in my bathroom. Replaced it with my original cover, and the smell was gone. I could distinctly hear water from my sink draining under the shower which I didn't before. It did catch a few hairs and scum. Returned for a refund which was gratefully accepted.

This item does its job, just as described: it fits perfectly and captures all hair in a swirl around the plastic center, while the water has plenty of holes to run away. I'm 100% satisfied (am even considering to buy a spare one).
