Great compass
Bought this compass for my husband and his "new" boat. Fits the hole in the dash that the original compass was in.. Easy to read while you are piloting the boat.

Great product easy install
This was a replacement of the same exact model I had that came with my boat 6 years ago - the old one lost its fluid- this is a really nice unit

Find the heading
I got this to replace a previous F83 that had lost all it's fluid. It had different mounting holes which required drilling new ones. It works well and comparing it to my GPS magnetic heading seems to be spot on. It is, however, a little bit shorter than the older F83 I replaced and I can't see this one when I am seated at the steering console.

Good Kayak Compass
Fits on my kayak that was made with an almost perfectly square flat spot (see customer photo) in front of the cock-pit. I used a 15 oz can (including the blue plastic lid) for Planters mixed nuts as a template for marking the hole to cut out for the compass to sit down into. As a tip, the two plastic plugs on the right and left side, leave them in, if they hit, the hole is too small. When the hole is the right size, they will clear, no problem.

Disappointed..
I bought this for my 1999 Chaparral Signature 300 Boat and it is the same name brand, same part number and is completely different in size. Disappointed...
