Restoring 70 year old window hardware. Found out it was BRONZE!! Lots of copper in that, hence the copper color. First handle I used Brasso, took 45 minutes of rubbing. Exhausting and stinky. My friend loaned me her metal brite plate and activator powder. I only had about 6 tablespoons of the powder. So I followed the directions closely, but I modified a little bit since I was short of additional product at the time. I dipped the handle for 15 minutes at a time. Then I would heat the water in the microwave, clean the plate, and dip it again for 15 more minutes. So I kind of cheated I guess, but it worked! 3 dips later, 70 years of tarnish was GONE. It was minimal effort and I will never polish anything again by hand like a neanderthal! I can learn new tricks!! I have since bought 2 plates, one for myself and one for my mom.

This stuff really works, but follow the directions to the letter. Wife loves it for cleaning vintage pieces she picks up at yard sales.

Works great!!! I had to figure the water - product ratio because I was using a large tub.

This stuff was amazing. Cleaned a tray that was 50 years without polishing and was black. It is shinny and beautiful now.

Have used these products for years on all my jewelry and really does the trick.
